That's the part that bothers me about all of this Trump and Biden aside. I had a friend in the military and he told me if he had done what Hillary Clinton did he would have ended up in jail. Putting aside Hillary Trump and Biden I just think it's a double standard that these people get away with this kind of thing when an average joe would be in serious trouble over it.

You know, one thing that I'm finding fascinating about this is that it has led people to take, and vehemently defend at great lengths, the position of "It's not the risk of leaking classified information that is really important here - it's whether the person who put classified information at risk of being leaked for years gave it back easily or not that's really important." One would think that the risk of leaking classified information were the sticking point but, nope - it's compliance. Kind of makes you think the real issue isn't the risk of leaking classified information, but who can be made to look good or bad over it.
