Warmed up with some shadow boxing and stretching
4x3 min rounds on various bags

We continued on blocking kicks or catching body kicks while stepping away from the impact. Using their leg to imbalance them and working into counters either punches, knees or high kick.

Finished with some heavy thai pad rounds and then stretched.
 
Yesterday:

Warmed up with a few rounds on the bag

Combination drills to set up or hide the kick

Light sparring just trying to set up kicks and of course blocking or trying to block them as well.

Ended with some heavy rounds on the bags and stretching.

Today:

Bench 531- Last set was 240, got it 4 times. That's what I get for not lifting for so long. Didn't do assistance work, was tired and felt weak.

Did some tkd stuff just having some fun. Practiced axe kicks, hook kicks, back back kicks, spinning heel kicks, tornado kicks (I think they are called, actually not bad at this one but I don't see myself ever using it), also my question mark kick is looking pretty good and actually contacting pretty solid with it. That's about it, got a good sweat. Adductors and hamstrings need to be much more flexible then they are though. Gotta work on that.
 
Short practice today, have final exams this week and next.

Worked on parrying the jab and throwing a jab like GGG and parrying a jab and throwing a cross.

Then hit thai pads 3x5 min rounds at a pretty good pace and got out of there.
 
Worked on using body shots to set up the low kick. Preventing the check by off balancing them by pulling down on the head or hand during kick.
Also worked on countering with a body shot after slipping to the insid off a 1,1 or 1,2.

About 218 this morning. Picked up a short notice match last, so I gotta watch my food intake.
 
217 on wake, 215.6 after practice before re-hydrating and eating.

Light sparred 4x5 min rounds boxing only. Landed some good body shots (via right cross lead to left hook to body) and practiced some in fighting. Also was trying out GGG's parry and counter jab, worked alright a couple of times.
 
215 this morning, did an ab workout at my house. Leg raises, weighted crunches (25lbs), cable wood chopping variations.

Evening: 10 min jump rope, dynamic stretches, bag work focus on keeping elbows in tight.

Then high elbow blocking and rolling a right cross into a counter right cross.

Followed by checking kicks and returning with a same side switch knee.

Finished with stretching out the hip flexors, adductors and hamstrings.
 
214.6 this morning

Right shoulder is pretty sore in the ac joint area.
Practice was warming up on the bags. Took everything light on the right arm. Worked left everything in ortho and sp.

Hit thai pads for 4x3 min rounds. Pretty wore out from this week. Endurance sucked, hungry, shoulder hurt, tired. Good day, ate fairly big this evening so morning weight maybe high. Abs sore from yesterday, need to do the cable wood chopping more after this fight.
 
Fights were nuts last night. I had Rockhold picked to win, but I thought Connor would lose even though I wanted him to win. Wish it would have went longer though.

215.4 this morning after breakfast (usually weigh before).

May do some yoga or some cardio later, shoulder is still sore.

Edit: did some shadow boxing, worked on my question mark kick (fresh in my mind from Rockhold/Weidman) and then stretched out really well.
 
214.5 this morning

Did some bag work and light boxing sparring, more playful and just movement to get a good sweat and to blow the lungs out. Landed my right cross to head and left hook to body pretty much at will today, so that was cool. Definitely going to start using that more often.
 
Made weight for my fight, opponent didn't show. Again. Can't believe this crap.
 
Up to about 226 right now. Just been stuffing my face since my opponent no showed me. The best luck I have. Lifted some today, did rows, curls, glute ham exercises, stretched out.
 
Practiced checking leg kicks and returning and blocking head kicks and returning with punches or a kick.
Also footwork on a 1,2,3 combination.
4 rounds on the bag for cardio.
About 225 lbs, pretty tired today.
 
22nd - Just a few rounds of thai pads, got in a good sweat. Incredibly sore from it for some reason.
23rd - Did yoga in the morning, weight 221
 
227 lbs (ate well over Christmas)
Front squats 3x10 light weight
Calf Raises 3x20
Weighted glute bridges 3x10 @ 145lbs
Lots of mobility stuff and stretches, focusing on left foot plantar fasciitis, both calves and hamstrings.

Slight knee pain in left knee after shower, barely noticeable 2/10.

225 lbs.
Did some mobility stuff at home, some squats, and some glute ham stuff.
 
221 after practice, scale is a bit funky so who knows. Skipped rope to warm up, shadow boxwed a bit, held pads and hit pads for a couple rounds, did some light sparring as a southpaw to held prepare a teammate, clinched, for a couple rounds and grappled for a few rounds. Good solid practice.
 
Grappled a million rounds, don't even know. Haven't really been grappling hard so I know I am going to be sore. Landed some random things, darce, twister, inverted heel hook. I was all over the place just trying out stuff I usually don't pursue. Had alot of fun.
 
219 this morning.
Rows, pullups, lat pulldowns, ab work and played around with some balance stuff.

Abs - front levers and leg raises

Quick workout, forearms are pretty fried from yesterday.
 
Morning:
Bunch of yoga and dynamic warm up stuff, really working on my flexibility and also foam rolled a bit on my legs and also a little on my spine getting some movement in my thoracic spine. Felt great afterwards actually.

Evening:
Bunch of pull ups and rows today
Pull ups - no idea, just did a bunch and rested and did more
5x5 @ 95lbs on wide grip almost pendlay rows
rear delt flys 2x10
stretched pecs out really well before and after

Condit/Lawler was a fun watch, thought Condit maybe won 3-2 or close enough to be a draw. Oh well I was entertained.
