Oliveira vs Islam or Chandler vs Islam would be the closest lines. I think Islam would handle Poirier.

It's expected that Islam would be the favorite. And I would tend to favor Islam too.
Many factors in Islam's favor. He is fresh, healthy, strong, and has the Khabib style that can defeat any fighter.
Hooker on the other hand, has shown he can be beaten, just had a fight so isn't so fresh, etc.
However, Hooker is a bloody wildcard and a savage. Despite it all, Hooker might appear completely fresh, motivated, and brutal in this fight.
We never know. He might appear cool and composed like the fighter that damaged Dustin Poirier heavily in their fight.
In this case, Islam might find himself in trouble.

Basically, this is not a fight that's clear cut to me. On paper, Islam runs through hooker. In practice...Question marks.

It would have been 20:1 for Islam if Hooker wasn't a strong striker with KO threat (straight right knee like you said). But because of those skills Islam is "only" a 5:1 favorite

Dan is clearly better in the striking dept. but Islam's trips could be the best in the division. Hookers takedown defense is very good at 80% and we know city kickboxing is elite at playing this game ala Adasnya vs Brunson, Vetori, Kelvin.
Hooker has fought far better competition than Thiago Moses (60% TD defense) and Drew Dober (55% TD defense).

These lines should be closer in my opinion.

Disagree. RDA is a more dangerous opponent than Hooker. He's an ex-champion, more well rounded, has never been finished, and can hang with Islam on the ground for 3 rounds.

If Hooker can't land a Masvidal-esque knee or something to stop Islam he's done. While he shouldn't underestimate Hooker, Islam ought to be happy to get an easier opponent.
