I'd say its kind of close, the first and third Gotg were both really good. But its more because they defied expectations.

But TDK is clearly a better trilogy. One of the best trilogies period.

GOTG1 is one of the best action sci fi movies of all time, saw it twice in theaters, I walked out of Batman Begins and never bothered watching the rest of it to this day

I freaking hated GOTG2, HATED IT!!!, I watched Dark Knight after all the buzz and it was alright, nowhere near the life altering masterpiece people sold it as, though

GOTG3 was an amazing film, one of the few recent MCU movies that were still top notch, tried watching the third Dark Knight movie but as soon as they showed Bane and he sounded like some weird pauper begging for coins on the London streets in the 1800's I turned it off

As a whole I gotta give it to GotG.

I wasnt a huge fan of GotG 2 but was decent, however the DKR was bad, and Dark Knight isn't enough to overcome it.

The Dark Knight Trillogy by a landslide.

I like GOTG (and there are 4 counding the holiday special), but the fact that it requires 6+ hours of supplemental material to fully understand why important relationships between the characters are fundamentally changed between part 2 and part 3 makes it a pretty clunky "trillogy" from a storytelling perspective.

With that stated, the GOTG movies are some of the best written and realized charcters in any comic movie. The emotional core of the films is far superior to other films in the genre. James Gunn took the dumbest group of characters ever committed to film and elevated them in a genuinely surprising way.
