I'm sure to most folks it would make sense for Big E to be a breakout singles star after the team eventually fizzles out / breaks up, but I've been really high on Kofi since he debuted. He worked with that shit Jamaican gimmick they gave him, he survived Triple H breaking the 4th wall on his own gimmick ("Did you use to be Jamaican ?" ... if anyone should have been allowed to break the 4th wall on that it should have been Kofi, and/or Xavier - when it looked like they were going to go with a , for lack of a better term, a new [new] NOD)
Kofi certainly can't talk as well as Xavier and he'll never be half the twitter champion that Big E is, but he's incredibly athletic and has a great look, he'd definitely be in the top half of WWE champs as far as in-ring ability just in general, he's definitely proven he can connect with the fans. And I think with a solid set of programs and a couple well-booked feuds, people will have reason to invest in him emotionally.
Buuuut as long as Vince is making the call I'm sure if any of them will ever get a main event push it'd be Big E. And I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it - incredibly athletic for his size, obviously damn good look as far as just looking like a credible fighter/champion, can obviously go in the ring, very charismatic and good on the mic.
I just think he can have a longer build to the title. No one's going to be surprised to have him in title contention in a couple/few years and to ride out the rest of his career as a perennial contender, with one or two reigns in the books.
Big E is 30, Kofi is 34. Technically Big E has more relative experience as although he's 4 years younger he's only been training 3 years less, but Kofi has been in the industry and with WWE / its developmental territories for a full decade at this point. Even as a perennial midcarder he has one of the most spectacular highlight reels.
idk, I probably sound like a massive Kofi mark but I think he's just insanely underrated. And I'm completely not just basing my opinion of his prospects on my personal opinion of him ... I've looked at this industry from a lot of different angles over my lifetime, and I think there's money on the table that WWE has been ignoring. In a lot of ways. I'm also not at all trying to say I think I could do a better job than anyone over at WWE corporate in general (that's another post

), but I am saying there are a couple/few specific things I can say with confidence would be good for business that they don't seem to see.
I mean, who knows tho, maybe Kofi doesn't want to be a top guy - I am pretty sure there are people who could have been but just really didn't want the responsibility and were fine with the money they were making.
