Bethe will prove tonight....

I think she's can beat everyone except than Ronda in the division atm. The weigh-ins were boring, but the second I saw that body, I was like dang!

...why start off by admonishing the group of Housey fans who do? Most WMMA threads devolve into appearance discussions - and even I'm guilty of partaking - and I don't care for changing that, but the aspect that ought to be changed is insulting looks. Even if you say most who bash Bethe's looks are Honda supporters (which I'm not sure I'd agree with), that doesn't extend to every time a woman's looks are disparaged. It's screwed up altogether; some rabid fanbase isn't alone in perpetuating it.

I'm a bit torn between wanting Baszler to destroy Bethe and not caring if Bethe wins if it puts her in a fight with Ronda. Whether it's Baszler or Ronda, Bethe is due for a serious ass kicking. Ronda would rearrange Bethe's face so bad she might actually look good at the end of the fight.

Bethe is a very boring point fighter so if this fight is going to be exciting it's up to Baszler.

True. It's one thing to have an honest opinion; it's a whole other thing to use that opinion as a malicious means to undermine someone.

goes around comes around. It all started with a old picture of Ronda at the Olympics taken at the most unflattering time and now any thread about wmma boils down to "dat ass" and "dat face".

I edited my post a bit and again, not sure if it's predominantly Honda supporters.

But even if they are, there's a distinction between 1. Honda supporters who would've insulted her looks either way and 2. Honda supporters who insulted her because it makes them feel like they're irrigating that same support. Or could just be 3. predominantly people doing it independently of any of that.

I don't keep a track of who likes which fighter(s), but if it's as you say, that would be unfortunate.

Yeah, that sums up my thoughts nicely. On the one hand, even with a win tonight, she'll end up being destroyed when it counts. On the other, if Baszler wins, strangely enough I'd only be glad for Housey.
 
She isn't the best fighter but she's got spirit. Definitely a potential draw. Ronda would beat her but Ronda beats everybody so it's alright.
