how would they know you're using it though? and even if they do, they don't know what you're doing on it anywayI listen to a podcast called "stuff you should know" and they did an episode on the NSA. They said you're more likely to get on the NSA watch lists if you use VPN and/or Tor.
Basically they're like "oooooohh you must have something to hide"
isn't it better to use tor with a vpn though?Tor yes. VPN no. Thousands of businesses use vpns.

wouldn't trust a free vpnI use Opera as a browser and that has a built-in VPN that the user can turn on if they wish.
well why would they need to put those sites on the deep web if they could go undetected on the normal web?I read a similar article a while back about how pretty much every criminal site on the deep web is being monitored, but similar groups/sites on the "clear web" go undetected. There are red flags that immediately catch LE attention.
Why not?wouldn't trust a free vpn

cause they don't give you something free for nothing. Why not?
Not sure why you guys use VPN but I've been using Hola for some geoblocked content and it always works just fine.
The same thing could be said to every free apps, extensions, programs even browsers.cause they don't give you something free for nothing.
