Best Steven Seagal story ever: ?

Stephen Quadros tells a good one, from when he worked on the set of Exit Wounds:

What kind of interaction did you and Seagal have?

OK, if you have to know ... I had heard all the horror stories about how he would hurt actors and stunt performers, dislocated shoulders, kick guys in the nuts to see if they were wearing cups, etc. I had heard about Gene LeBell. So 2 weeks before we started shooting I was training DMX on the soundstage one and Seagal showed up and was throwing a few guys around on some mats on the other side of the stage. So I waited till he was finished and walked over and introduced myself. I figured why wait, he's going to see me around anyway. But I wasn't wearing a cup. I had left it in L.A.!!! So I stood kind of sideways just in case he decided to suddenly kick me in the family jewels. During the conversation he moved to where he was standing square with me. So while I was chatting with him I slowly moved back to where I was semi sideways again. He moved again to square up with me. I'm thinking, "This is not happening." So I switch to where my right foot was forward, turning sideways again the other direction. I was doing this very subtly. He had that 'look' in his eyes as he squared up with me again. I smiled, folded my hands in front of my groin and said I had to get going and walked away. It was VERY weird.

I kind of steered clear of him for the most part. But one time he came on the set and started walking right towards me. I thought, "****, I don't have my cup on!" So he walks close to me and my radar was up. Then he grabbed my wrist. I am not an Aikido guy and I'm not saying I am better than Seagal at wrist locks but my first instructor was Korean and had taught us Hapkido which included many techniques that were similar to Aikido. So I reversed his grab to were my hand was on his wrist. He grabbed the same wrist with his other hand. I reversed him
again. This little game went on for about a minute. I was really trying not to upstage the guy because on a movie set it's a no win situation to do that to the star, especially him. But I for sure was not going to let him get me into a compromising position physically. I know guys he has hurt to the point of having to have surgery. He suddenly stopped and pointed at me and said, "You're good." I didn't know what to say so I just smiled. He walked away.

The girl he was looking for was getting high upstairs with some loser. I think Seagal beat him up to....I saw the kid rolling down the stairs and he got arrested after that.

True story....will never forget it.

damn, the sakuraba one was good too. i got students who could beat sakuraba lmao in his prime. i'd love to see prime steven segal vs prime wandy.

Well, at the time when Seagull was still some kind of popular, Hennig was a fan of his. And they met at the airport, Hennig wanted to took a picture with him and Seagull agreed. After the picture was taken Seagull wanted to be some kind of bigger men so he snapped some variation of an armlock. Hennig being 6'5 220 lbs and a huge guy, former NCAA Wrestling champion just grabbed Seagull's arm and almost smashed it so hard that he wouldn't be able to move it. After that Seagull left immediately as the crowd got bigger.

Take it for what it's worth, it's just a story. Could be true, could be false.

LOL @ Hennig being 6'5. He'd be lucky to be 6'1.
 
That quadros story killed me. That is absolutely gold if true. You can just imagine seagal saying "you're good". Haha.

They shook hands, Seagal kept squeezing harder and harder, Hennig - depending on what story you hear- either squeezes back even harder or turns it into a Hammer lock, forcing Seagal to let go, scream in pain and "tap out"


EDIT; Curt was 6'-6'2" no way was he 6'5"
 
A few more details on the Judo Gene story:

Segal was claiming he could not be choked out, that he had a move that could get him out of any choke.

Once the choke was applied Segal hammered Lebell in the nuts, apparently his secret move was a groin strike.

In a street fight, I'd do it. Can't blame em for that lol. Alls fair in a fight. Unless it's a sport fight, then the rules are agreed upon before the fight.
 
A stunt coordinator repeatedly swept and threw Seagal around for hurting his stunt men

It was for Under Seige movie I think, and Seagal asked for the coordinator to be fired or to coordinate his own stunts, he was then allowed to hurt the stunt men, consequently the entire production refused to work with Seagal again
 
This thread needs to be stickied. I never get tired of hearing stories about this ass clown.

There were a few stories Stephen Quadros told, one when he met Seagal for the first time and felt like Seagal was positioning himself to kick him in that balls and Quadros kept turning so Seagal wouldn't have an angle but Seagal kept turning with him.
There was also one when Seagal was telling Quadros that he has students that would beat up Sakuraba, this was when Saku was at his peak. So Quadros told him to bring them over and he'll set it up so they'll fight Saku in Pride.

I've heard this story before, but Curt Hennig was 6'2" and about 235ish in the mid 80s, 250ish in the early 90's. He was also never an NCAA wrestling champion, though I've heard he was a pretty good wrestler in high school. The story itself is very believable, but some of that shit was way off.
