Best Sports MMA and Actor Physiques?

I'm probably 4-5 inches taller than this guy, but if you scaled him up to my size that would be great. I wouldn't just want to look like him, though: I want the physical abilities he built, the abilities that gave him that body. I would probably be the most physically gifted person in BJJ.

The Rock. Not a WWE fan [stopped watching about 15 years ago] but I do like Dwayne Johnsons physique. Hes big but not massive. I looked at a few images in this thread and I hate the typical body building bodies you see. The ones who are really into it. I like The Rocks body as I can imagine him to be able to run quite easily. Body builders bodies just look like it's all lifting and no cardio whatsoever. I like big bodies but when it gets to a certain point it starts getting a bit sad. Just my opinion.

When your 6'5 it's hard to look "swole" that's why bodybuilding generally is a short mans game. the crazy thing about the Rock is his quads they're frickin huge.

Dude just has about the most insane combo of genetics too. dad was a 6'2 yoked as fuck pro wrestler mom was full blood Samoan

This pic is amazing.

Yeah, I used it as my background for my profile page, but then something went wonky with the site and it was barely visible anymore.

Nobody builds biceps like gymnasts, bro.

Also the rest of their torsos get pretty crazy looking.

In before someone pointing out they're shorter than six feet. The average guy in America is only five feet nine inches tall.

Looks like a gymnast? Why would you want a gymnast's abilities for BJJ?

Yuri van Gelder is crazy jacked. When he wears normal clothes his biceps always look like they are just a fidget away from tearing his sleeves apart

Inhuman strength at every possible angle, including angles you didn't know the human body could get into? Sign me up, pls.

Yeah, there seem to be a lot of advantages, but I'm sure there would be some drawbacks too. We need to get some elite gymnasts in BJJ to find out how well it works.

I literally can't imagine a single drawback. If you can think of some, I'd be interested in hearing them. I know GSP and Frank Shamrock came to train gymnastics for fighting.

I'm a large dude and started training gymnastics at home two years ago and it is the best thing I've ever done. My body is literally correcting decades of injuries and imbalances from weightlifting and martial arts. I am crazy with excitement to see what my body can do after a decade of this.

I never appreciated the heavy weights gymnasts throw around. According to Christopher Summer, when gymnasts fall through the rings or parallel bars and catch themselves, studies have shown they can generate forces that are 14x bodyweight. So a 140lbs gymnast regularly supports up to 1960 lbs with his upper body in his training. I wonder if 300lbs weightlifters who deadlift 1200lbs ever do support holds with 1960lbs. And I don't remember the numbers, but the forces they drive into the floor with their legs during the floor routines are also many multiples of bodyweight. People complain gymnasts have underdeveloped legs, but they're not weak: they're disproportionately smaller than their upper bodies. Gymnasts need to have immensely strong legs to throw themselves high enough into the air to twirl 4-5 times.

And, because I know how the internet works, the shitting on gymnastics and defending of weightlifting will now commence...

Those massive dudes like Arnold are impressive for sure just not ideal imo.

Already post James Irvin. Here's another.

Michael Garvin track athlete and wide receiver. 4.2 40.
