My signature.

There's also:

"I'm going for broke, gambling and playing for keeps
Everyday in the streets, scrambling and paying for cheep
Praying for sleep
Dreaming with a watering mouth
Wishing for a better life for my daughter and spouse
In this slaughtering house, caught up in bouts
With the root of all evil
I've seen it turn beautiful people crude and deceitful
And make them do shit illegal
For these Grant's and Jackson's
These transactions explain a man's actions
But in the mist of this insanity, I found my Christianity
Through God and there's a wish he granted me
He showed me how to cope with the stress
And hope for the best, instead of mope and depressed
Always groping a mess, of flying over the nest
To selling dope with the rest
I quit smoking cess to open my chest
Life is stressful inside this cesspool
Trying to wrestle, I almost bust a blood vessel
My little brother's trying to learn his mathematics
He's asthmatic, running home from school away from crack addicts
Kids attract static, children with automatics
Taking target practice on teens for Starter Jackets
I'm using smarter tactics to overcome this slum
I won't become as dumb as some and succumb to scum
It's cumbersome, I'm trying to do well on this Earth
But it's been Hell on this Earth since I fell on this Earth"

-Eminem

"There's gonna be a lot of slow singin, and flower bringin
If my burgular alarm starts ringin"

Every one of their songs sounds like a basement cypher. The songs that do have hooks are cringeworthy and the production is bad. Royce Da 5'9 is terrible. Crooked I is terrible. Joell and Budden are decent. Not much of a group, IMO.

Royce da 5'9 is not terrible, man.

I realize he's not top 10 of all time material, but he's far from terrible. Terrible rappers are guys like Lil Wayne and 50 cent, Royce destroys both of them and has put out some sick freestyles and original songs.

"I'm breezin' away from competitive ways
Every day I'm leavin' a race, I'm leadin' every step of the way
That I'm breathin' and the reason that the hunger's increased
I'm under my peeps speed and I'm underneath the numbers I seek
I speak if you never show me respect
No longer lookin' up to rappers, in fact I’m after the ones that I’ve met"

Royce is horrible dude. 50 Cent shits all over him and Dedication/Drought-era Weezy does too.

"I'm the verbal-spit Smith Wesson
I unload with sick spit the quick wick could split a split-second
Bomb with a lit wick expression
You here a tick tick then you testin..
My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits
So trust me, I'm as live as it gets"

That's some of the corniest shit I've ever heard.

What? Lil Wayne and 50 cent are two of the worst rappers I've ever heard, neither can flow to save their lives and both of them are weak as hell lyrically.

Royce is several leagues ahead and he can actually put out a good freestyle.

"If I switch up I'll probably be instantly sellin'
got a clip full of pellets known as MC repellent"

"Pimpin' ain't easy but bitch I'm in the buildin'
I'm the smack man, I got a backhand like Serena Williams"

"Guess I be poppin' lots of shit you can't do nothing bout it bitch
So get the heads up or be my rock 'em sock'em opposite"

"Nobody's harder, he don't give a fuck what he slaughters
He will drag you slutty daughter through the muddy waters"

Really man?

That has some great multi's in it and much better flow than ANYTHING Wayne or 50 could ever hope to produce.

"And when I was 5 my favorite movie was the gremlins,
aint got shit to do with this I just thought that I should mention"

-Lil Wayne

Guys like Wayne and 50 can only rhyme the last words of each line, they have no internal rhyme game.

lol @ people battling each other in here with their favorite rappers lyrics haha

Seriosuly some of the most retarded shit I have ever seen on the internet. And every one of you thats doing it should be embarrassed for yourselves right now.

Royce forces his shit so bad and you proved it with those quotes. Dope punchline in the second one but his set-up was horrible.

Lil Wayne and 50 Cent shit on Royce because at one point, they were both better rappers than Royce and they've been better artists than Royce their whole careers.

If your idea of a good rapper resides with multi-syllable's, then you're a lost cause, my friend.

Here's Wayne in his prime turning a freestyle with no chorus into a raw, catchy track.

If you still think Weezy can't flow after hearing that, there ain't much I can tell you. Sadly, Weezy's been half-retarded since 2009 so those days are done.

Regarding what you said about the punchline, that's also a freestyle that was mostly off the dome, of course some of it will be weak. It's still better than anything Wayne has ever produced.

Lil Wayne and 50 cent have never been any good, I'm really not sure what leads people to think otherwise. Royce used to hang with prime Eminem when they collaborated.

"Dismissal, I'm not a fair man, disgraced the race of an atheist
Intercepting missiles with my bare hands like a patriot
One track sliced without swords, I buried the Christ corpse
In my past life when the Black Knight mounted the white horse
And stay over-worked, it's like the Nazis and the Nations
Collaborating attempting to take over the Earth"

Multi's aren't the only thing that matters when it comes to lyrical ability, but it's definitely important. If all you can do is rhyme the last word of each line, then you have no complexity in your lines or internal rhyme game (which is definitely important and something that Royce destroys both Wayne and 50 at). And it's a hell of a lot easier to make your flow sound decent if your lines are that simple, Royce has much more complexity in his lines.

Wayne at his best has an average flow that anyone could easily rap along with. Royce can change the speed of his flow up much better than Wayne ever could, which is also an advantage.

The flow on this is better than Wayne's best:

Royce is also far superior in battles and disses.

Dude, multi's mean nothing. Inner rhyming couplets mean nothing. They sound cool when they aren't forced but they add nothing, really. You just have to have a good voice, writing ability, variety of content, and a good flow. That's what makes a good rapper. Whoever likes it, likes it.

Having a flow that anyone can rap along with is a good thing. That makes your style much less niche and much more approachable. Biggie's flow the simplest of simple and it hit hard because he used other things to emphasize it. You and other people take rap way too fucking seriously, and put your opinion forward as if it's fact. Take a chill pill, m8. Good rap isn't concrete but I know it when I see it.

Also, Royce got killed by this guy in a battle (where Royce brought writtens and FAB freestyled)

Too many favorites honestly, but this one gave me goosebumps as a kid. Return of the g by outkast andres opening verse

Return of the gangsta thanks ta'

Pure rhyme writing ability is very important when writing rap lyrics, to deny that is insane. They add a lot, unless you think rhyming something like "cat" and "hat" is as impressive as something like

"Ayo, my pen and paper cause a chain reaction
To get your brain relaxing, the zany acting maniac in action
A brainiac in fact son, you mainly lack attraction
You look insanely whack with just a fraction of my track spun"

(it's an Eminem line but it makes my point). The more complex your lines are, the harder it is to create a good flow, which means you have to be a tad more skilled to actually be able to do it.

Being incapable of creating a complex flow is not the mark of a technically skilled MC. Anyone can be a good rapper if all it takes to be a good rapper is write simple lyrics combined with an elementary level flow. The guys who can make it harder to replicate are more skilled MCs, they turn it into more of an art. If you like Lil Wayne songs, then that's great, I like some of them too. But he is NOT and never has been a more skilled rapper than Royce da 5'9.

Also, Royce got killed by this guy in a battle (where Royce brought writtens and FAB freestyled)

I doubt Wayne has ever won a battle in his life, so doesn't really mean much. I never said Royce was the best.

You obviously can't tell how badly he's forcing that multi-syllable scheme just to sound complex. I don't wanna hear a rapper say some shit that doesn't sound like it'd work in a normal conversation. These guys are really bad examples of complex lines.

Wayne was 5 times the rapper Royce has ever been on the Dedication/Drought mixtapes. If you can't hear that, then I guess you can't. You think a rapper is someone who just uses big words, alliteration, and 5-syllable rhyme schemes which is far from the truth.

If it is the truth, then you must think Biggie is one of the worst of all-time.

I doubt Wayne has ever won a battle in his life, so doesn't really mean much. I never said Royce was the best.

You're probably right but I was just throwing that out there lol

See that Black boy over there, runnin' scared
His ol' man got a problem
Pawned off damn near everything, his ol'
Woman's weddin' ring for a bottle.

Both Eminem and Royce have shown an ability to write complex lines that Wayne just hasn't. I'm not really sure what you mean by they're "forcing" those lines, they have spent basically their entire careers writing lines like that and it takes quite a bit more talent, skill, and dedication to write like that than anything Wayne writes. Their ability to do that simply makes them more skilled when it comes to writing rhymes, and that's just the way it is.

There's nothing artistic about it if it's so simple that everyone can do it. Skilled MCs like Eminem, Royce, Treach, and Jay-Z are what bring respect to hip hop. Without them, it's just pop/dance music. I'm talking about technically skilled MCs here, and the ability to add a little more complexity to your lyrics and flow is important.

If it is the truth, then you must think Biggie is one of the worst of all-time.

Biggie isn't a bad rapper by any means, but he's not even close to being the most technically skilled. He's still a lot better than Wayne.

You're probably right but I was just throwing that out there lol

It's cool. Btw I'm not meaning to come off as rude in my posts, if I am then I'm sorry. This is just a friendly debate.

I wish he'd stayed off the drugs. They ruined his voice and he'd probably still be alive.

Agreed. Listening to Pieces of a Man now, probably the most depressing yet magnetic song i've ever heard.

Yo find me at 51, Groom Lake, Dreamland, Paradise Ranch
Fifteen billion dollar planes land in the sand
Reverse engineering of these nine captured saucers
Autopsies happen often under standards and precautions
Examination and storage used cryogenic tubes
Biokinetic ooze
In fluids preserved numerous species extraterrestrials, ET's, aliens
Call it what you want but never talk when your deep breath in the area
Classified activities related to implementation
A technology from a distant nation
Highly sophisticated weapon system matrix
Integrate the basics of stolen alien spaceships
The final frontier black helicopters are appear
Doctors are here processing a doctrine of fear
A note to general public at large
While you fuck under the stars
We've already begun construction on Mars
