I am starting to get into my MMA now and want to start investing in some good equipment. Could someone give me some advice on which are the best;
- Valteudo gloves / mits (I currently have Hatricks)
- Boxing gloves, head guards & Shin guards
- mouth guard (I use a shockdocter at the moment http://www.shockdoc.com/mouthguards/gelMax.html, it is a bit bulky though and the inside of my upper lip seems to bleed real easy when wearing it)

It's recommended that you buy a custom mouthguard as opposed to using a boil and bite mouth guard due to the higher level of protection

rupy I have a shockDr and last week I had the same problem with it cutting my lip alitte. I just took a fingernail file to the front of it and shaved down eveything that might be pointy or have an edge. It works better now.

Gloves-truth best bang for the buck by far.
Mouthguard-Biteme or Opro
Boxing gloves-twins or WIndy
shorts-Sprawl or Nogi
Rashguards- tight XFGear, loose Sprawl
Shinguards-revgear

Valetudo Gloves - Ouano Shooto Gloves

Boxing Gloves - Fairtex 12oz Boxing Gloves

Mouth Guards - If you want a home fit one like Opro, Shockdoctor, thats upto you. I personally recommend going to your dentist and getting a specialised moulded one for Sports. Apparrently more expensive in the states than here in Aus, but definetely the best fit you will get anywhere.

Gloves- Truth, Fairtex or Ouano
Mouthguard- Shock Doctor, O Pro and Bite Me
Boxing gloves- Muay Thai Gear Pro, Twins, Windy, Fairtex, Cleto Reyes
shorts- Sprawl, Nogi or ClinchGear
Rashguards- tight XFGear, loose Sprawl
Shinguards- Muay Thai Gear Pro, Twins, Windy, Fairtex

The first and last brands on those lists with the exception of Shorts and Rashguard are the generally the cheapest and most expensive respectively.

I'd go with O-pro pro Impact mouth guard, thats what I have and its alot better than those cheap boil and bite mouthguards. (fitment is precise, can breathe a lot better, better protection, looks alot cooler).

Awesome - thanks for all the info guys.

Also I forgot to ask which is the best ball box?
