Best female champion ever?

Nunes no doubt #1. Then Val in second place.

Val kiddies who have a crush on her may have a hard time facing that, like the dummy that created the thread ignoring Nunes fights at 145. Nunes has more title wins, two division champ and has two wins over Val. Val will forever be second place to Amanda for eternity.

Amanda, Shevchenko, Ronda, Joanna, Carla, Rose, Weili... In that order for me.
Agreed although I'd place Rose before Carla. Obv. she lost twice but if we're talking isolated title runs, Rose has the better resume in title fights.

Nunes, Ronda, Val, and then there's a dropoff

Holly is a can now. You have no idea what you're watching.
Holly has gotten older and has a lot of wear and tear on her but she is not the one dimensional fighter Rhonda was. Holly would still beat the crap out of her. Holly might not beat any top 5 fighters but she is easily top 10 which is certainly not a can.

Without a doubt, it’s Nunes.

She finished prime Cyborg, Ronda, Holly and Meisha. Two wins over Val. Two division champ. Cleaned out division. Defended numerous times.

Nunes, Val and Honda have strong arguments.

I firmly believe Shevchenko is a better fighter than Nunes (the fact that she gave up 20+ pounds to Nunes and still took her to a split decision should tell you all you need to know), but you can't really argue against Nunes being more accomplished in the UFC.

Imma just leave the numbers out there and you can make your ranking.

-Valentina Shevchenko (FLYW): 7 title defenses in a row, 4 finishes
-Ronda Rousey (BW): 6 title defenses in a row, 6 finishes
-Amanda Nunes (BW): 5 title defenses in a row, 6 title defenses overall, 3 finishes
-Joanna Jędrzejczyk (SW): 5 title defenses in a row, 1 finish
-Rose Namajunas (SW): 2 title defenses overall
-Zhang Weili (SW): 1 title defense
Julianna Peña, Jessica Andrade, Carla Esparza, Holly Holm, Nicco Montano, Miesha Tate and Alexa Grasso are girls that have got the title but have no title defenses (yet).

I'm not even going to count the FW division since that one has always been a joke (can't even make a top 5 out of it).

So the one with the most title defenses is Valentina (7), the one with the biggest finishing rate is Ronda (100%) and the one who has fought the toughest competition idk because that one is subjective but I usually hear ppl putting Amanda in that regard

To me is is Rhonda. She also had 2 strikeforce championship wins which is the same division that was just moved to UFC when they purchased strikeforce. The dominant way she won is unmatched by any champion male or female, add what she did for WMMA and the UFC in general, she is the female goat to me.

All of her victories were finishes. Most of her championship victories were less than 1 minute. It is crazy how dominant she was. There has never been a bigger gap in UFC history between the champ and the rest of the field.

That said an argument could easily be made for Val or Nunes. Those 3 are clearly the best and the others on the list aren't worth being there.

Val's performance against Nunes was one of the greats, shame the judges got it wrong. On paper the fight shouldn't have even been close. Val was tiny and didn't appear to put on any bulk for the fight.

Ronda, Amanda, and Joanna are above the rest IMO. I don't put much stock in Valentina at 125. It was a new division and very shallow during her reign.

No. It’s close and debatable. They could’ve given Nunes ten belts if they wanted. 135 is basically heavyweight. Those fights count but certainly no bonus points IMO.

All WMMA divisions are shallow though. Rousey was the big star so the competitors in her division became bigger names. Holm beat Ronda, Tate beat Holm, Amanda beat them all, and suddenly it looked like a stacked division.

Who, specifically, is better in Cyborg's resume? Because Amanda has Cyborg on her resume.

It's not a who, but a what. Cyborg is 26-2 (21 finishes). Nunes is 23-5 (17 finishes). Cyborg has 15 title fight wins. Nunes has 11. Cyborg has essentially been a champion non-stop for the past 14 years. Nunes's reign has only been half that.

As for Nunes beating Cyborg, that holds about as much weight as Serra beating GSP, Conor beating Aldo, or JDS beating Cain. It's a good win, but also a win that by itself doesn't prove much, given that the two have only shared the octagon for 51 seconds. Anyone can get a flash KO. What happens if that one shot doesn't land?

No, just no. It's not close. Fact of the matter is that there is not one reasonable argument that can be made to put Val over Nunes, that's why it's not close. Valentina is a solid 2nd place in the UFC. Overall Val may be further back cause you got Cyborg as well in contention.

But Nunes is just too far ahead. You mean 145 is HW I think. Fact of the matter is that the win over Cyborg at 145, counts for far more than anything Val has accomplished in her career. You take what Nunes has done at BW, it's just more impressive than Val. Better opposition counts for a lot. And she's 2-0 vs Val as well.
