Best Danaher Instructional so far?

I personally feel that Gordon Ryan’s dvds are far superior to Danaher’s.

same.
The Lachlan’s Giles DVDs are better than all of them.

I literally forgot that watching instructionald weren’t supposed to be a chore till I checked those out. He covers the same topics and has a different perspective but the communication is miles better. Giles even speaks in a sophisticated manner if you’re one of those guys who likes drinking tea with a pinky loose.

Danaher is so extra sometimes:

Danaher: “The Figure of Four”

Me: JUST SAY FIGURE FOUR YOU SERIAL KILLER

other instructors: now put your heel on their hip.

danaher: it is of the utmost critical importance that the person performing this particular technique now leverages their body in such a way that allows them to make contact to their partner's hip with the hindmost point of the bottom of their foot.

I am reviewing that dvd again now. he shows the achillels(spelling) lock when he talks about creating delimmas on the secondary leg. i always thought achilles and straight ankle are the same.

It seems to me that the achilles lock he shows is not IBJJF legal, because of the knee reaping rule (placing the foot beyond the vertical midline of the opponent’s body).

I dont really follow the IBJJF rules since I dont compete(just roll as a hobby). Even though there is no attack on the cross ashi leg(primary leg), its considered illegal?Even if you are taking the secondary where there is no knee reap?
