Is it Conor? With his mass marketing appeal and lucrative spirits deal?

Or maybe Chael? Who planned and talked his way into big fights, and then swung his popularity into a commentating gig, coffee business, and youtube show?

Maybe it's Masvidal, who made a nice Mezcal product with a funny commercial (and probably banged the starring lady in it)?

Colby? With his Bang energy promotions.

For WORST businessman, I might go with Rumble, who quit the UFC to sell weed (legally), then failed at that and just made going to the local LA fitness and pumping iron his entire career.

What are your choices?

Chael did the most with the least, Conor and Brock are obviously on the short list.

For the worst it’s anyone who makes a money dispute public like Jones and Ngannou. Next time you want a raise at work publicly shit on the company who employees you and see how that works out.

Please try not to make unfair judgements about actresses in mezcal commercials. Thanks.

You named the top contenders for best, but I'd add Nate and Nick Diaz to that list.

Rumble needs to stop feuding online with fat yoga women built like a bag of dry dog food, but he isn't anywhere near the worst. Worst would be the many UFC fighters who fail to draw any attention to hype themselves or their fights. Post fight interview, generically thanking their coaches, their family and saying they're willing to fight whoever the UFC puts in front of them. Chael and Colby showed you don't even need to be an exciting fighter to generate buzz and move the needle.

one of the worst has to be Mike Perry who missed weight to pay a percentage to the other fighter because he didn't understand how taxes work

Khabib probably makes more money than anyone on this list, except Conor.

10 years from now, Khabib will have more money than Conor (who will either be dead or in jail by then).

Khabib has shown that being the AUTHENTIC best in the world, sticking to your principles, and also being pleasant to work with will favor such an individual over time.

idk about that. Conor is a decent businessman. Conor is also a lot richer than Khabib. I think he has people to stop himself from going bankrupt.

But maybe he could end up in jail or worse.

Singling out 2 white MMA fighters to 2 black MMA fighters?

Conor. He’s morally bankrupt but financially doing very well.

I would say Woodley is the worst.

He has no business sense or any common sense related to money. I am basing this on his interview where he basically said he didn't save any money from UFC because he was busy buying bottle service for his friends. Also, when he finally came around to thinking of the future, he invested his funds by his own admission into a rap career.

Also, compound how he treated his fight career. He was one of the better welterweights of this era. He couldn't have been more unmarketable if he tried. Even when he was fighting a total heel in Colby, he still managed to get the entire community to root against him with his BLM answers to all the questions. He also said Conor was rich due to UFC push and racism.

Any way you slice it, he has no business sense.

Best, obviously you got to mention Conor and Khabib. Khabib seems content and has proven he has solid long-game and principles. Conor is brilliant in his own way and as long as he doesn't OD or end up in jail, he should be on the Forbes list for a long time to come. It's a matter of getting out of his own way.

You're right. Maybe she banged Masvidal?

-Conor has done fantastic, UFC believed in his hyped, gave him a push and he was able to win the big fights. Now he's their biggest PPV star.

-Chael, had a decent record with some bad losses and some great wins. Manage to bring it to the GOAT MW in Anderson Silva, almost backing up all his trash talk before getting subbed in the 5th.
Most impressive is him talking himself up into a TS up a weightclass against Jon Jones after losing to Silva at MW. They even made a TUF season for that fight.

-GSP did great and was always getting good numbers. Got to where he is with no trash talk, but rather his professionalism and consistency to win high-level fights. Left the sport on top, this gave him oppurtunities to explore different sources of income. Also had Canada behind him.

-Brock Lesnar, came in from wrestling, had an intimidiating look and dropped great promos on the mic. Became champ with little experience and every one of his fights did big numbers.

-Khabib did great promos begining with the MJ fight at UFC 205. His undeafeated record along with his dominance brought eyes to the screen, even if the people watching wanted him to see him lose. The Conor fight also brought a lot of eyes. The russians/degastanis and muslims were able to get behind him to increase his star power. Retired on top and is now investing in other ventures.

-Rousey was and still is the biggest star in WMMA. She won fights quickly and dominantly, which impressed most. She dropped some decent promos on the mic too and brought attention the sport.

I definitely missed a few here.

Conor is obviously the most successful businessman. He has natural entrepreneur and marketing skills and can be successful in various venues.

In general fighters from United Kingdom are great at this. Bisping is very successful and has a good job as a commentator despite not having a record that makes him one of the greats. Till is very popular despite a mediocre record. Paddy seems to be great at this as well. He has a $1 mln job outside UFC and is heavily promoted.

Ronda has done a great job of promoting herself. She created a WMMA division when Dana was originally against it and made herself a part of UFC history along with earning millions.

Brock has done a great job of promoting himself to earn a lot of money by stacking UFC and WWE against each other to give him the best contract.

A lot of Brazilian fighters did not reach their business potential despite being great like Aldo or Anderson.

Who fucken cares, never understood dudes drooling over a pro fighters “business savvy”.

Remember when fight fans used to be men?
