Best bear attack movies

Oh, man. I love this thread because I'm a huge fan of bear attack movies. Sadly, I've seen all those that have been mentioned here thus far. With my favorites being INTO THE GRIZZLY MAZE ( terrible retitling, by the way, I much preferred its original title RED MACHINE ), GRIZZLY, BACKCOUNTRY & BEAR.

The special effects are terrible but I've loved this movie since I was a kid. In fact, even though I already have it on Blu-ray from another company, I just ordered a copy of the new Severin Films edition because it's got a new, improved 2K scan so the picture quality will be improved. Plus, there's a slew of new extras on the disc as well.

Good call. This is a very good, underseen little gem of a bear attack film. I wasn't expecting much from it with its generic title & lack of recognizable actors but I enjoyed it a lot. @Fedorgasm, check it out. I believe it's available on Amazon Prime.

It's not on prime anymore but it said I could watch free on Tubi or Pluto... Can't remember which. I just had to download the app. It has commercials but that's ok. Watching it now.

It's not really her. But she kinda looks like a hotter version of her, hence the name.
It does have a good ring to it. Could be a porn name for an up and coming actress with a slight resemblance to her.

Cool. I hope you enjoy it, bro.

Back country was legit.

That bear attack scene was absolutely brutal.
Yeah, it's a good one. In fact, I was inspired by this thread to order a copy of the Blu-ray from Amazon to go with my other discs of the bear-attack movie sub-genre. And while I was doing so I got excited because I thought I'd found an all-region Blu-ray copy of INTO THE GRIZZLY MAZE from France. It was advertised as a region 0 version but upon further inspection, it's actually a region B. So, it won't play on my machine. Which sucks. No upgrade for me. So, I'll just have to keep making do with my DVD copy.

Gotta be honest it wasn't great. Almost like a student film except they somehow wound up with a real grizzly and a great trainer.

Did you notice that scene where they're coming out from hiding in the metal tube, in the upper left corner you can totally see the boom operator. Not just the boom, but the actual guy.

I will say through it did scratch my itch to see people get eaten by a bear though, and since there aren't that many good bear attack movies then this wasn't too bad compared to the rest.

Well, good. It sounds like you enjoyed it just enough to make it worth your while. I think I may have liked it a wee bit more than you did simply because I had such low expectations going into watching it. I thought it would be totally unwatchable at first but I wound up getting pulled into the drama. No, there wasn't much action but the bear was impressively menacing if nothing else.

Yeah I did like the idea. And it was way better than it's 2.8 rating would suggest lol

The one thing is didn't like was that one dude climbs a tree and the bear can't get him. Because grizzlies aren't great climbers like black bears. And the rest of the movie nobody thinks to climb that tree even after the car is no longer safe.
