Elections Bernie Smashes Fundraising Records

Sorry, but he absolutely would bestow favors to those who contributed to his campaign

You mean regular people? Because again, he takes no money from the super rich or corporations. Has no super pacs either. So who are these people he would owe favors to?

I can't wait for this guy to eliminate the middle class, create a huge poor class, and create a small oligarchy of wealthy people pulling all the strings. That is was socialism looks like. Enjoy.
Middle class, lol? What middle class?

80% of Americans live pay check to pay check. Most people would be on the street in two months if the economy took a downturn and they lost their job.

Wake up and smell the horseshit, Petunia. Oligarchy is here.

Very few people (including Bernie Sanders) are hard Marxists. We’re talking about shit like UHCand workers’ bargaining rights that non-shithole countries take for granted.

It's crazy he's basically fearful Bernie's creating the situation that already exists. I actually thought he was being sarcastic at first that's such an accurate representation of today.

Any decline in the middle class is thanks to the tax and spend liberals who piss all of our money away. Socialism isn't the medicine for it but instead just exacerbates the problem. Illegal immigration also contributes to this problem because illegal immigrants reduce wages for blue collar jobs.

No. It's not crazy. It's arithmetic. They use to teach us that in school.

Tax and spend built this country. Show some respect. We don't have tax and spend we have a flat tax for anyone upper middle class and up. It's an international embarassment.

Sure, thing. The tax and spend of the 1700's is entirely equatable with the tax and spend of the 2000's. Way to keep it honest.

The 50s are the period that made America into the leading economy of the world. And we had 90% taxes for the ultra-wealthy.

In the 1700s we were a quaint backwater with some interesting political ideas.

I meant 1932-1980. Not 1700s. I mean the success part. Lincoln also passed a huge domestic tax and spend package in the 19th century though cause all the conservatives decided they wanted to be all their own country. That induced the industrializtion of America in the first place. We then had the Civil War pension which was a 19th century version of Social Security for Civil War vets. Once old people stopped being civil war veterans it basically created the senior poverty problem Social Security was created to address.

So basically what Murka looks like now?

Open borders are a libertarian/ Koch Brothers policy, not Bernie Sanders’.

And middle class wages have stagnated precisely over the time when taxes have been reduced.

Your worldview is almost precisely opposite of facts. How does that happen?

This is an almost universal truth of The WR: the posters with the most adamant opposition to liberal economic policies cite the fewest facts and sources.

You can really see this played out in this thread.

Too bad he is opposing recommendations from border agents to secure the southern border so long as Trump is in office (all at the expense of the American people).

You're funny. He only takes money from the 3 biggest corporations in the US.

Alphabet Inc $369,493 $369,493 $0
University of California $338,993 $338,993 $0

Talk about not being able to source your "facts."

There is no way an economy survives taxing it's wealthiest population 90% (let alone experiences significant growth).

You must be projecting here. You are one of the biggest charlatans in the war room.

LOL@ the tax foundation.

The tax rates were what they were. You can also look up what % of the economy was captured as taxes then vs now.

But here's the real test of your purported beliefs: If you really think a 90% top tax rate and higher estate taxes wouldn't cause the wealthy to pay more taxes, I'm sure you won't object to us enacting those policies now, right?

Not even close. The left is just getting warmed up.

How does one create an oligarchy with anti-oligarchic laws? Also if the left is creating an oligarchy then the right should support them as that seems to be what they want.

It's complete bullshit. No one was paying 90% in taxes in the 50's.

Tax and spend did not build this country. There was no income tax until the central bank was coming about. In the early 1900's.

This country was built with tariffs. And free commerce. Aversion to taxation. Rugged individualism. Anathema to the leftist mind.
