Bernie bailing on the Democrats

He was only a dem for like 8 months and the only reason he even joined the party was because he knew he wouldn't have any chance of winning the election as an independent, he was in the party as long as he needed to be and now he's shifting back to what he was doing before he gave running for President a shot.

Why? Voting green party firmly shows that you are a liberal who will not vote for hillary. If stein gets any real numbers that will drag the DNC to the left.

Dragging the DNC to the left is a myth.
It didn't happen when Nader ran and it won't happen if Stein gets 15%. Which isn't to say "don't vote for Stein", because I plan on voting for her, too.

I'm as big a Sander's supporter as there is and I think he made a big mistake not using the DNC leaks to take Stein up on her offer. I get why he did it, he thinks Trump will be a disaster, but supporting Clinton only hurts his movement.

Reich argues more from Sander's position, I feel Hesges is spot on for multiple reasons, some of which Chris doesn't even touch on.

Question for you. Suppose that Clinton loses a razor close election by 1% and 1 swing state because a 3rd party peeled off 2% of the democratic vote.
Is that going to have a net positive effect?

Are you suggesting Clinton should bow out in favor of a Sanders/Stein ticket?

Bernoe Sanders has never been a democrat. He has always been an independent who caucuses with the Democrats. He became a democrat to run for President only. He will return to being an independant who always caucuses with the democrats.

Seriously, how did you guys not know this?

There's a lot people don't pay attention to.
(Especially the people who are happy about this 'news', thinking it means something)

This is kind of a non-story, he only switched from Independent in 2015 to run for Prez.

Now that that's over, well...
I saw Drudge do a story on this. It's sensationalism at it's worst. He went back to being an independent because that is what he is.

He'll probably be less well remembered 15 years from now than Ralph Nader is today.

Well, sure. Nader ushered in the glorious socialist revolution by throwing the election to Bush, thus ensuring prosperity and peace for all eternity, just like retarded fake leftists think will happen if Trump wins.

Where's this money from? Speaking at the convention? I don't understand the meaning implied.

So Bernie gets cheated by the obviously corrupt DNC and some how he's bailing on them??

People these days... Smh

No. This kind of exactly correct reasoning is unacceptable to the Bernie Bros. No, not Bernie Bros. I'm demoting them. They are now the Bernie Babies.

He's not even really a democrat, so it wouldn't surprise me.

I don't understand why he decided to do exactly what the party wanted if he's not interested in being a part of it. Why endorse Hillary? Why talk about party unity? I don't get that. He spent his entire campaign (and probably adult life) criticising the crap he's endorsing now. That looked really bad! Shit Sanders did you really need to end the most important chapter of your life like that? His supporters are upset, I would be too.

Your mother is a donkey.

And I laughed. And now I'm sad.

One of the best moments of this entire election season.
I agree, that was pretty cool.
