Benson will always be my favorite fighter

He also almost stopped Diaz, and beat Jim Miller and Mark Bocek half to death, which aren't easy tasks.

Beat Bocek half to death? Not at all. He won the fight and all but I don't recall Bocek being in any serious trouble.

He did kick Miller and Diaz's ass though. Nearly stopped both of them.

Henderson has two TKOs and the rest of his wins are guillotine, RNC, or dec. He's fighting tougher guys now.

That standing arm triangle attempt tonight was badass though. Bendo is an entertaining fighter imo.

Edgar dropped him 3 times but he was the one trying to point fight. Makes sense.

lol wow... suggesting you can't drop someone by point fighting? derp de derpppty derp de derp... ya fool

Henderson is definitely one of my favorite fighters too. He's no point fighter, he's just competes in the toughest division in the UFC and has a lot of close fights.

Yea but Edgar looks like he was ran over by a car no matter who he fights. His defense is terrible.

Whereas Benson looks pretty fresh after each of his decision. Benson takes much less damage.

The last thing that the UFC wants is for him to be a point fighter, he just can't finish and can just barely hang with the upper echelon of the ufc lw division (edging out controversial decisions)

He's obviously hanging with them seeing as how he's winning decisions against the top UFC lw's. If he couldn't hang with them, he'd be getting KO'ed and subbed every time.

I didn't say he couldn't hang with them...I said he could just barely hang with them hence the never ending stream of controversial decisions

Right, but he's winning these decisions. What do you say about his opponents then? They can't hang with him since they're not on the winning end of these close decisions?

It takes 2 fighters to get to a decision in a fight. As Pettis showed, if you want to win, you should probably KO or sub Bendo.

Maybe they can just barely hang with him.

Exactly.

solid points, I guess what I was really getting at was in regards to the TS that the ufc didn't turn bendo into a point fighter it was the level of competition

I think you have weird taste. The guy is a massive 155'er who overpowers guys in the clinch and kicks like a mule with those tree trunks. Uses power chokes on the ground and his strength to muscle through subs. When he faces technically sound fighters, he often resorts to pressing them against the fence or holding them down, otherwise usually getting bested.

I thought he won the first Edgar fight, the Gilbert fight, and this past fight
