Benson shutout loss tonight proves Askren is Legit.

Askren dominated Koreshkov. Tonight Kereshkov shut out Benson which Thatch could'nt do. I think Asken isn't getting the resect because he is fighting in OneFC but he is legit. Boring or not. I think Askren needs to come to the UFC. I also think he could make 155. Koreshkov is a beast to. No doubt. Thoughts?

Andrey put on a show. Honestly, Benson looked like he had no game plan whatsoever and looked really bad, IMO. Pretty rough loss.

IMO he would still lose to askren but Andrey is a beast and if anything this fight made me want to see him in the UFC for some exciting match ups.

No no it doesn't. Koreshkov is a good fighter but he won over a guy that's probably not at his best anymore.

But I think people were kind of drinking koolaid if they really believed Benson could compete at 170. Yea he beat Thatch. So?

Time again people like Rogan and Schuab say fighters who don't cut weight do better because they are healthier, faster, better hydrated. It's just not true. They do worse. Every champ is big for the class. Benson is too small for 170.

Schuab got school by Bryan Callen actually, which is pretty funny considering he's not a fighter and Joe and Schuab rip on him for not knowing anything. Callen had to sit there and try explaining that weight classes matter for fuck sake lol.

If you're frame allows you to go up, it might be good. But small guys should not move up. If you're allister and have a big frame, go up to heavyweight, it works. Or Rumble. Not going to work for Mighty Mouse so well.

It's like anytime the UFC bought out or absorbed another org... That org ends u doing great against the UFC.

Yeah, I don't think Benson took him seriously enough. I also think that if he did, he'd have still got beaten the same way. I missed the first 2 rounds, but from what I saw from round 3 and on was impressive. Seemed to have very good accuracy with some of his flashier moves as well, always seemed to land. Benson def showed some toughness in eating all that though, Ill give him that.

Thatch was all hype. Masvidal is pretty much the same size as Bendo. They just didn't cut weight and fought @ 170.

Benson is tough but he's not beating skilled WW guys like Koreshkov.

Yeah, only problem is when the UFC snatches them up. Bellator seems to have some exciting fighters coming up though, far more interesting to watch than the UFC leftovers they keep grabbing. Its nice to have some competition.
