Let's say he becomes the 170 and 155
Bellator champ. Will the ufc pony up some cash for him and give him a shot at the 170 belt followed by a shot at the 155 belt kinda like what happened with hendo ... (Hendo vs rampage 205 and then hendo vs silva 185)

Either way if bendo becomes champ at bellator a huge congrats. Wec ufc and bellator champ now that's gotta be a first
 
I seriously doubt it. They didn't think he was worth the money before, they'd be paying more if he became bellator champ. The UFC does not want him as champ.
 
I think he pulls it off on Friday and wins the title. He's just very good at winning.

I'd love to see him fight GSP. Superman punching, point sparring, decision machine vs Superman punching, point sparring, decision machine.
 
I'm kinda excited a bit to see him fight.
Also if he loses does it boost up bellators stock as a competitive promotion ?

Will Dana watch ?
 
Yeah winning 3 belts would be an incredible achievement. Big fan of Ben's but I don't see Dana ponying up the cash. As has been said UFC doesn't want him as the champ.

It's possible Koreshkov is very good. And Dana will definitely watch, if anything the fight video doubt he'd tune in live for a Bellator card.
 
I think sponsorship money is underrated especially for champions. I don't think the UFC will be able to match his offer now. Because guys can make hundreds of thousands more with sponsors. And if Benson is a champion on Spike TV. I'm sure he can get big sponsor's which is more money in his pocket. The reebok deal really sucks ass. I don't think fighters like Phil Davis, Josh Tompson and Bendo would go to Bellator if UFC still had its old structure in place.

Whats more because the UFC doesn't allow sponsors. The fighters will demand a bigger purse from the UFC. Which the UFC tends to be stingy about. Where as before atleast guys could make up for it with the sponsorships they had.

More fighters moving to Bellator, I think will be a trend. Just like Matt Bitchrione.

Benson could've made more money in the UFC than he will in Bellator, but only if he won the title. He didn't seem to think that was likely, so he took more guaranteed money in Bellator.



Why the fuck would you pay extra to give a title shot to a guy who clearly didn't think he could win your title and left on that basis? He himself didn't think he was going to win a UFC title again. He wanted to go looking for greener pastures and not contend for the title, so I'd say let him go do that.

You missed the excellent point Bendo actually made there. He'd have gladly taken the UFC offer but there were no guarantees of a title shot. Therefore winning the belt could have been quite difficult.

So many people underate sponsors but even on the fighter and kid Brendan said he would get 6 figures in sponsorship for a fight but if he stayed through the new deal it would be like 5k it's so stupid

Very true. If I was a fighter I would want the guaranteed cash not the what if cash .. Does anybody know what bendos contract looks like now ?

I've wanted Daley back since he left .. Bring him back now let's offer him a nice contract and let's get some crazy ass fights going .... First fight nick Diaz :-)
 
I wouldn't like that, I was never a fan of him. But if he does return to the UFC, I just hope he doesn't bring that fucking toothpick with him.
