News Benson Henderson retired

Never was a fan, couldn't stand the over the top Jesus praising, the toothpick, the proposal in the cage after one of his MMA fights.

Didn't like his fighting style on top of that. Dude seems like a nice fellow and was a very good fighter in his prime though

Sorry but he's the champ I hated the most with Hendricks.

Had a good run, accomplished about everything there is to accomplish.

7-7 record in Bellator (and 1 "win" was a freak leg injury to Pitbull who was lighting him up and the other a robbery against Piccolotti) so should have had a losing record.

Did far better in WEC/UFC. Got the strap in both but wasnt quite good enough to win the Bellator title unfortunately.

Still a top 10 LW of alltime despite all of the controversial decisions. Tricky style, great chin, incredible grappling, unorthodox striking and some of the best cardio ever. Hespect.

Yeah lets not factor in Time at all WEC..... UFC...... but by time he was at bellator... his done anyway.. WEC toothpick would easily got the belt over there. hope he save up $ i wish him well in retirement

I'd rather watch Bendo nerd out in a comicbook store than most of the meatheads that end up in the prefight hype videos. Hell of a fighter, and a good guy, hope he can enjoy retirement.

DC told a really interesting story about how Benson Henderson’s body feels weirdly dense, something you feel even just shaking his hand. Massage therapists would literally stand on his back because of his crazy muscle and tissue density. The guy is clearly a very special athletic talent, and he’s had an amazing career, not many people can remain competitive as long as he did. Enjoy retirement champ!
He always looked like he had a very thin (but muscular) torso and massive legs.

WEC legend. Like others have said, first watched him in the WEC and watched his effective but unorthodox style of grappling. Really unique skillet, in his prime he could matched up well against and possibly could have beat Khabib. Truly felt bad for him he was the unfortunate victim of the showtime kick from Pettis, but i appreciate him actually being there to make that moment happen. Top 5 MMA moment imo. Pettis VS Henderson I is a bonafide classic.

Wasnt really the hugest fan of his post-fight evangelicalism, but i guess if i had the athletic aesthetically pleasing body and life success he did, i would probably feel blessed by God too. Hope he retires and is happy for the rest of his life. Awesome fighter, hes isnt as boring as people make him out to be.

Damn, I kinda, in a sadistic (?) Enjoyed his split decision run. At least he fought consistently during his reign. Good fighter.
