Rumored Benoit Saint Denis turned down Gamrot as late replacement.

Gamrot is not an easy fight. You need to prep for wrestling. BSD is also on a bit of a losing streak.

I can't really blame BSD for this. Gamrot is not an easy fight and one that needs specific preparation for.

I don't even know who Kyle Prepolec is but what a giant opportunity for him to step in.

UFC should let BSD walk out with the French national flag

Its a shame, the card is really bad, it needed that fight to at least help it a bit

BSD is in NO danger of a UFC cut due to two, or even three consecutive losses, as long as they are spectacular, as the Piorier and Moicano losses were. Good entertainment there win or lose, sort of in the realm of Chandler. BSD IS in danger of a UFC cut for being too hesitant to take the fights he is offered. Fans liked him because he seemed fierce and dangerous, he is in danger of losing his fan mojo. Better to get your ass whooped by the good guys, than to beat a no name, or risk losing to one.

Very true, Gamrot and Ruffy were both NOT available for UFC 315 (they proposed to postpone the fight, Gamrot may regret it as BSD will call his name saturday night, and then Gamrot will loose face if he refuse), but bad opponent for BSD. If he wins in a little way, he will be criticized, if he loose he's out of the UFC, and if he wins, it just make him a little money (which he can't do without).

I understand turning down the Gamrot fight but turning around and accepting a fight with a complete can could be perceived a certain way

After you get beat up, you should always take a tune up fight. or else you get stuck in the MMA fighter doom loop.

He denies it. He says Gamrot was not offered to him, and no one is scared of someone with 0% finish

I can't really blame BSD for ducking Gamrot. He's had two horrible fights and lost both, and getting wrestled into Bolivian by Gamrot will really affect his standing in the UFC far more than a blatant duck will.

Kyle Prepolec is a 35-year-old can crusher with a 18-8 record, who fights once per year since 2019 and is on a 3-win can-crushing streak in the oh-so-talent-dense MMA hub of Ontario, Canada, which is incidentally his home province.

He wrestled for two whole years in high school and after graduating began working in construction and home renovations - so he is more than ready to renovate BSD's home for a few more Canadian dollars after the two settle their differences in the cage!

Much more exciting challenge for Benny St Denny than Gamrot! ;)

The UFC insist on independent contractors so they have zero responsibility over their health and other expenses but when said fighter doesnt play ball, boo fcking hoo.

and Gamrot would have been way less a challenge than Alvarez...

You can not reproach to BSD than Gamrot could/would not want to fight May 10.

The story according to the coach of BSD (english sub availables):
