Beneil Dariush is the most underrated fighter in Ufc history....

Beneil is really, really good. His speech, not the religious stuff but his actual fight related remarks the other night, really struck me. This guy feels disrespected but he responded to it like a champion. Faces whoever is put in front of him and beats them time after time. Got knocked out brutally by Barboza but look where he is and look where Barboza is. Beneil WILL fight for the title now or later. Barboza never will. Sadly.

Sorry, Joe Rogan already anointed Drew Dober as the most underrated fighter in the UFC.

All you need to do to get respect with sherdog apparently is beat an eastern euro wrestler. My god, the amount of people who flip flop on benny is amazing. I'm not targeting you TS. I'm just saying what I've noticed in general.

People are bitching about his mic skills meanwhile i find him a nice change from the fakeness. His style is great to watch and to me it just sounds like he is completely happy with his role and place in life and doesn't need to be a part of the rat race.

I don’t think he’s underrated. More like he’s overlooked. People just don’t talk about him and tend to forget he exists. I think most people recognize he’s a top fighter and a legit contender that could win the belt when they do actually talk about him

Beneil's wrestling had never been tested prior to Gamrot so it's only fair that people would have questions. No different than the many criticisms of Islam before he fought Oliveira.

His performance erased any doubts I had and IMO, he's more deserving of a TS than Volk. Plus at 34 he isn't getting any younger.

he’s a weirdo so a lot of people are turned off by him. he can fight his ass off though, no doubt.

I probably disagree with almost all his views and beliefs, but I commend him for having the balls to speak out, especially in that environment. Good for him, honestly.

His post fight interviews are irrelevant to me, the guy is a very entertaining fighter and doesn't duck anyone. Personally I'd like to see him fight Islam more than Volk

You were doubting Dariush's wrestling before this? really? Benny has always been considered one of the better wrestlers and grapplers in the division, and for a reason. Like I said though, you need to beat an eastern euro around here in order for your grappling to be respected I guess.

Along with Leon, until very recently!!

Dariush's funk rolls were a thing of beauty.
His use of leg entanglements from the funk roll to stand up was very crafty.

When Gamrot gets guys down they usually don’t get up. Beneil used a near perfect game plan that fight imo

This is a rat race but Beneil's no rat. He's a fucking turtle. Ninja turtle. So which one is your favorite? I like Michelangelo. Next question.

‘Alexander the Great’ gets privilege over ‘Darius the Great’.

I wonder if Dariush has the same name as the historical Persian ruler Darius of the Achaemenid Empire.

Anyone from that region that can tell if Dariush is the same name as the Persian name Darius and former ruler in 500 bce?
