Elections Ben Shapiro Jumps off the Trump Train...

People who harp on the "Ben Shapiro just talks really fast" must be really slow. I can understand him just fine. Everyone I know in real life left center right has never ever said "He talks too fast". It's such a bizarre only online talking point.

I feel like probably Ana Kasparian on TYT started saying it and the left being the hivemind they are just started parroting it and now it's a regular thing.

Kind of like how calling everyone a grifter became the quickest political jargon trend ever. It's embarrassing how people parrot the word grifter to the point where the word has no meaning anymore. To me it essentially means "This person is not a leftist, therefore I don't like him". They call anyone who isn't hyper partisan a "grifter". Shit gets old.

No, you are incorrect. A political grifter is someone who simply changes their views in the direction that leads them to obtaining the most money possible.

you guys are the kind of republicans that i can respect and work with and stand side by side with in this country and i am a progressive. i hope you can make a comeback once drump is gone.
Thanks. But just to be clear, I'm no longer a Republican, nor do I currently have an ideology that aligns with the right. I'm firmly on the left. I identify as a social democrat, a left-wing populist and a left-libertarian. The Democratic Party is too far to the right on socioeconomic issues for my tastes. Biden is center-right to me. Only voting for him as the lesser evil.

But is Shapiro still off the Trump Train?

Trump did say that he would probably leave the country if he looses. Probably would enjoy international toilets that could flush less than 15 times for his obesity fast food diet dumps.

Nonsense.
He objectively talks fast. This isn't a "talking point" that everyone just made up or got from TYT. Especially when he debates, he speaks quickly and throws out a bunch of talking points and numbers at a rapid pace. It isn't that we "can't understand him", it's that it makes it impossible to have a true debate, or really break down what he is saying. When talking about things like systemic racism or problems/wars in the Middle East, you can't just throw out a bunch of terms and statistics without giving the person a chance to respond. He fools a lot of people into thinking that he is smarter than he actually is by just speaking quick and confidently. There isn't a lot of analysis into what he is actually saying.

There's a direct correlation of the usage of the word grifter with the rise of Donald Trump, a grifter.
A guy that was a Democrat, has absolutely zero Christian values, is somehow the leader of the conservative party....gee, I wonder why the word 'grifter' started to get more use?
Shapiro isn't a grifter, he calls Trump out for what he is, but people like Rubin and Candace Owens are. You can't go from gay TYT reporter to a Trump voting righty that appears on Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson's show. The Trump era has exposed a lot of people as hypocrites and hacks.

You ever see Shapiro debate Cenk Uygur? He made Uygur sound balanced, especially on healthcare, with his random assed diatribe, hucking a thousand data points lumped in with crappy rhetoric.

"You can either have quality, affordability or speed" Something like that. He then cherry picks cancer survival rates in the US, declaring the US the most healthy nation with the best health outcomes, failing to note heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, etc etc in his "assessment"

It's a slightly more coherent version of what I started to see in Ceda debates at the beginning of the 2010s.

well then welcome aboard. we are very close in ideology.

Trumpism isn't going anyway anytime soon. If he loses we are going to be hearing about how they cheated for years to come and he will continue to be an enabler for the worst of his MAGA cult by peddling more and more conspiracies.

@hillelslovak87
im afraid you are both right but at least he wont have the bully pulpit. the media needs to get with the program and only report in trump when necessary and in deadpan.

if he convinces his base base that the election was illegitimate and rigged (all just to save face and with no regard for the country) we could be headed for a period of domestic terrorism over it.

I think Trump expressed christian values - that I disagreed with.

I didn't give a damn about people saying happy holidays instead of merry xmas the way Trump hated it

I never noticed the word grifter until this year.

I think attacking Biden on his age etc is a strange tactic. People have been watching a bumbling orange idiot say insanely stupid shit for 4 years. Trump can barely hold a train of thought or string a coherent sentence together.
Shapiro is also a complete tool.

I don't generally like Trump but I dislike the fakes as much, if not more. People who recognized the issues with this President but enabled him and refused to do something about it until now. Now that they think he won't win, they want to pretend that they've got high-minded principles again.

Trump exposed an intellectual rot inside the party. At least his diehard supporters have never pretended to principles that they had to twist themselves into pretzels to hold into. And they're not shifting their principles like rats escaping a sinking ship. They're showing more integrity than the "voices" of the party.

Anyone you have in mind particularly?

Ben Sasse is a pretty big one that comes to mind. He's really milking that cow despite carrying water for daddy for 4 years, voting with him 87% of the time, and not even feigning interest in law or policy when it came to big votes like the AHCA, tax cuts, Kavanaugh, or impeachment.

No doubt. Trumpers have been sending bombs, sending death threats to members of the media and congress, shooting up synagogues and churches with white power manifestos, even plotting to kidnap and kill sitting Governors.

And that's while they think they're in power and stickin' it to the libs with daddy in charge. The followers of Sri Rashneesh carried the spirit of their guru in a briefcase in Antelope, Oregon before trying to poison the residents of that town by spraying chemicals on produce at a supermarket.

Just imagine what a cult based on Trump, not a guy like Rashneesh, will do when they think they're threatened. Hope that shit doesn't come to pass, but Trump stokes the fires every single day like some budget Windrip.......

That Xmas stuff wasn't a big part of Trump's campaigning.
I'm talking about anything related to Christianity. He is clearly not religious. He has been married and divorced multiple times, he's a pervert, uncouth, vain, doesn't belong to any church, suddenly stopped believing in abortion very recently, can't name a single passage of the bible, etc.
And yet....he is the leader of the party that claims Christian values.

"grifter: someone who cheats others out of money. Grifters are also known as chiselers, defrauders, gougers, scammers, swindlers, and flim-flam men. Selling a bridge and starting a Ponzi scheme are things a grifter might do."

You're hearing the word grifter more because the POTUS is one. As are many people that claim to support him. His whole career has been about cheating and scamming people. He made political donations to the Clintons and to Kamala Harris! His donations to Harris were in 2011 and 2013. Ivanka donated to her in 2014. This isn't ancient history. He is the king of the grift. He doesn't believe in anything but winning. The guy wanted to be president and was willing to say whatever he needed to get there.

And the people on radio, TV, and in the Republican party have been willing to say and do whatever to support him so long as it makes them money or keeps them in power.

There are people like Shapiro that acknowledge Trump for what he is, but believe Trump is better than Democrats.
There are people that know Trump is incompetent and immoral but pretend like he is a real conservative with real conservative values...but, like him, they put money, power, and position over any real values.
And then there are people that have completely drunk the koolaid and actually believe that Trump gives a shit about them or their ideology.

They have nothing else to attack with. Like Tim Pool has a beanie!! They are empty people who have no arguments and it shows

Joe Biden is a terrible candidate.

He is 77 years old; he is incoherent; he has called a "lid" every other day of his campaign to avoid serious questioning. His running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., is so unpopular that she dropped out of the Democratic primaries before they even reached her home state. The Biden-Harris campaign is absolutely lackluster.

And according to national polling, Biden is leading incumbent President Donald Trump by up to 16 points. In the RealClearPolitics polling average, Trump is trailing Biden in every single swing state. Were the election held today, by the RealClearPolitics statistics, Biden would win 375 electoral votes, picking up states including North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

How is this happening? How did a doddering fool, a career politician mostly famous for his incurable logorrhea, end up in the catbird seat one month before the 2020 election?

The answer is simple: Joe Biden understands the nature of this election. Donald Trump simply does not.

To understand this election does not require a graduate course in political science: If the election is a referendum on President Trump, he will lose; if the election is a referendum on Joe Biden, he will lose. Trump is personally unpopular by every poll metric, and he has been consistently unpopular for years, but he was still able to win in 2016 because Hillary Clinton was even less popular. The same could have held true here.

After all, Biden has opened himself wide to serious questioning. He has repeatedly refused to state whether he is in favor of ending the Senate filibuster, adding new states and packing the Supreme Court, calling such questions distractions; he has refused to condemn the antifa movement; he has soft-pedaled Black Lives Matter violence in America's major cities; he has put forward the most left-wing platform in American history, according to communist fellow traveler Bernie Sanders.

It's funny, Shapiro was a never Trump-er who hated Trump and the "Breitbart" wing of the party, but then came along when Trump became the most pro-Israel/Zionist president ever, plus the tax cuts for the wealthy. Shapiro jumped on the Trump train after that. But now he's quick to jump ship because he smells the BIG loss coming. Neocons/movement conservatives like Shapiro are dinosaurs. Shapiro's going to lose a lot of his audience, especially if Trump somehow comes back...

Shapiro didn't even vote for Trump in 2016, but he will be voting for him in 2020. How exactly is Shapiro jumping off of a train he was never on? Your title should read "Shapiro jumps on the Trump train."

Ben Shapiro: I Did Not Vote For Donald Trump In 2016, I Am Voting For Donald Trump In 2020

Such a shocker that people change their minds. Especially nowadays when the left gets crazier and crazier. Its not hard to see why someone would leave.
