Pride had there top fighters Fedor/CC/Wand etc then middle tier guys Sergei/Werdum/Hearing etc then Japs were brought in to have there faces stepped on by guys like Wand & Shogun
UFC has the same format & Saunders falls into the Jap category & did not get his face stepped on enough therefore he is not a useful Jap for them.
