Like the dude a lot, he just has so much working against him:

- two of his three wins were not against UFC caliber guys, who have since been cut

- welterweight is absurdly deep right now

- 33 years old

- knocked dead by a middling guy like Cote


None of those things on their own should spell doom, certainly not getting stopped by someone who hits as hard as Cote - but all together you can see the picture. No doubt he's a UFC caliber fighter and can hang around, but nobody should really believe he's likely to move up the rankings.
