Kinda sucks as I was hoping to see him on the flyweight TUF.

Good catch by Bellator. I wonder if he will be fighting at FLW or BW

Well he's blatantly gonna be fighting at 135lbs considering Bellator doesn't have a flyweight division.

That sucks, he would have been a perfect addition to TUF.

Either he's a FLyweight in Bellator which has no div really or he'll be an undersized BW.

bellator recruiter: so you wanna be a fuckin bellator fighter? hit me with your resume
pietro: my nickname is pitbull
bellator recruiter: welcome to bellator

Haven't heard about him, is he solid? I'm guessing they picked him up for their 135 division. They need up and comers in that division

Even Caldwell said that he believed in bellators vision and what they have planned for the future. A lot more bw activity to come?

Well im glad Bellator is getting some new talent fighters outside of ufc hand me downs. If they are beefing up 135 It would make more sense to pick up Aljamain sterling also.

Too late. He re-signed with the UFC.

Bellator don't want guys like Sterling, they want ready-made big names and aging veterans who fans would recognise from fighting in the UFC years ago- Gone are the days of Bellator building prospects, that's an afterthought for them nowadays.

Damn. Bad career move for Menga. Why sign for Bellator when they have no FLW division?

Might not even be long-term. Could just be a one-off fight cuz he's a local. Shitty time to do it with TUF filming around the same time.

Is menga a big name? I mean during sterling free agent he would been one of the biggest BW names that bellator could pick up if they were planning to beef up 135.

Will see what happen, coker seems to know what his doing.

I guess not, fair enough.

But Coker doesn't know what he's doing, IMO. He's being advised by Viacom who simply want viewing figures and they feel the best way to get them are by signing guys with name recognition, regardless of whether they're relevant.

I feel like Coker is a fantastic promoter. A lot of the things he does aren't appealing to the eye, but he works with what he has. Also throw on the fact that Viacom is probably pressuring for these ugly freakshows, Coker has to do what he has to.

Id like to see these tentpoles taper down as they build quality names

You must not really pay attention to bellator. I admit that their freakshows overshadow most of what they do, but their last show was one that had some solid prospects. At ww there was the 22 year old fialho who looked fantastic in his second fight out. Then at 155 there was Adam piccolotti who looked great and got the sub. Even Ray wood, who lost to piccolotti, could bounce back. He was a short notice fighter who jumped a weight class for this fight. He looked great in the fight before this one. He was also looking good before he got tooken down and subbed in his last fight. Still someone to keep an eye on.

Also, let's not forget the most promising of all. bellator kept their next bw champ Caldwell. Such a raw telent, and we haven't seen the best from him. Bellator is making moves for those who care enough to pay attention.

I don't pay much attention to them, these days, to be honest mate. As soon as they started having geriatric nut-cases main eventing over title-fights and true prospects/relevant fighters, I lost interest. I preferred it when they were all about exciting tournaments and unheralded but talented prospects.

Of course they still have some quality up and comers but yeah, it gets overshadowed when they're hamming up the likes of Royce, Ken, Kimbo and Dada.

Depends if he was asked to be on TUF< if he was then going to Bellator was a horrible move.

But if not then might as well take the offer while its there.

You could be right it's likely to put him on the prelims as a local but if he wins they probably have an option to keep him.

Its a 1 fight deal and the fight is at 125, all the new UK fighters (ticket sellers) are signed on a 1 fight deal

Thanks, any source? I believe that would make this Bellators first ever 125lb male fight.
