I think it's being perfectly rational when a high majority of the fighters expected to pan out, did. So you play the odds and trust your eyes. Not that Curran or Pitbull have resumes that don't demand some respect and remove the classification of prospect.
I don't get how Jorge Santiago is relevant at all when he fought in Japan and I never bought the hype. Mayhem, I never thought would be a contender, but that he was a good fighter, and he did nothing in UFC to dissuade that belief. He lost to Bisping and then with a blown knee, Dolloway. But he was kicking Dolloway's ass at times in spite of being on one leg, and nearly finished him like twice. Since Dolloway has proven to be a good fighter. That fight if anything suggested that Mayhem was the much better fighter than a good one when factoring in the circumstances. Speaking of rationality, you shouldn't rationally put any stock in a loss for a fighter on a blown acl, case in point Cain the first time against JDS, before almost literally killing him, twice.
Yes, Curran and Pitbull would be run of the mill in the same division where Nik Lentz and Dennis Siver are top ten. Both actually got their spots by winning decisions against Nunes, who Pitbull starched.
But, Curran and Pitbull are in another org so they must suck. Kind of like Gegard and Jacare before they came over, right?
Curran/Pitbull II is the only good fight on the Bellator card.
