Bellator 123
Featherweight Pat Curran (c) vs. Patricio Freire
Heavyweight Cheick Kongo vs. Lavar Johnson
Light Heavyweight Muhammed Lawal vs. Dustin Jacoby
Heavyweight Bobby Lashley vs. Josh Burns

or

UFC Fight Night
Middleweight Ronaldo Souza vs. Gegard Mousasi
Heavyweight Alistair Overeem vs. Ben Rothwell
Heavyweight Matt Mitrione vs. Derrick Lewis
Lightweight Joe Lauzon vs. Michael Chiesa

I will watch Bellator & download UFC.
My reasoning is UFC is easier to find out there.

YOU?

both are actually good cards. Wow.

Kongo/Johnson sounds like a KO waiting to happen.

Easy. Watch UFC. Record both so I can rewatch the UFC card again later for highlights and recaps.

curran/pitbull is the best fight of the night and only fight better than the ufc card tonight imo.

UFC live, Bellator DVR, late night replay Lion Fight.

I will flip over for Curran/Pitbull most likely but the other three fights barring Kongo foolishly trading with Lavar, are basically squashes.

You mean on the Bellaforce card, right? Mousasi/Jacare is easily the best fight of the night (on paper anyway).

Fight Night. Curran/Pitbull II should be a dank fight, though.

Curran Pitbull 2 and Gegard Jacare 2 are two of the fights i have been looking forward to most this year.

I'll be watching both for sure, Bellator has some great prelims but I don't care much for the main card outside the main event.

I don't think the main cards overlap anymore do they? Bellator moved back to 8 and UFC moved some of the fights to the prelims so the main card officially started at 10.

The only Bellator fight I'm interested in is Curran/Pitbull, but that's probably the best fight tonight, for me anyway. So I'll watch the UFC prelims till that fight comes on and then switch back for the main card. Sucks I'll have to miss Lentz vs. Oliviera.

I didn't realize.
I need to check, thanks

Spike 8pm EST
UFC 10pm EST

I thought they both were on 9pm. Well I will most likely still do the same anyway ;)

It's really a practical false dilemma with DVR's these days. Actually, I think it's better when 2 cards occur at the same time, because that means I can get virtual nonstop action instead of frustrating lulls.

But for those who have this weird aversion to watching sports on a little tape delay even, I think the best plan is to watch the beginning of the Bellator prelims because it starts first, then switch over to UFC when it commences, back to Bellator for the main event which is the 1st or 2nd best fight of the night (competing with Jacare-Mousasi of course).

You lose your MMA fan card if you're a sucker and don't at least watch Curran-Pitbull 2. It was an outstanding fight the first time, and with improvements from Pitbull it's reasonable to expect even better this time around. You could be missing out on another Chandler-Alvarez just because it doesn't say UFC on the cage lip while it's occurring.

For the first time Bellator over UFC. No UFC coverage by sportsnet in Canada.

I prefer Curran/Pitbull II to Jacare/Mousasi II as well. Curran is one of my favorite fighters and Pitbull is always exciting to watch. Their last fight was great. Both are top ten Featherweights IMO.

Probably watch most of Bellator live and catch the UFC on Fightpass tomorrow, since Canadians are getting jerked around a bit anyway.
