i really don’t think so. some serious competition in guys like sakuraba/okami/aoki/gomi/etc. horiguchi doesn’t really have the same amount of wins over all time great fighters.

Except for Saku, because he is just legendary and very hard to compare, Horiguchi has a legit case above any Japanese, even despite this upset loss.

He is widely acknowledged in Japan as their best fighter ever. Legacy is a more subjective discussion I guess. From that standpoint, Sakuraba will ever have a case about anybody
