The thing that drives me the most crazy about takedown merchants isn't just that, it's the fact that even when the other person successfully stuffs the takedown, they are not rewarded for it, but the person who failed the takedown is rewarded for the failed takedown since they are "controlling the fight".

Every round starts on the feet even if you end the previous round in full mount.
If you are not active enough on the ground or against the cage they will separate you or stand up back up.
Knees and kicks to a grounded opponent are illegal.
