Like you said in your earlier post, the guy ducks no one. He will take fights on short notice, like he did against Leon and was willing to do against Strickland (at MW). There really isn't a logical reason to dislike him, other than the reasons I noted earlier which is sad. It was even sadder when one of the people in the crowd called him derogatory terms (Arabic/Muslim related) during his fight with WB. Even Felder noted it on commentary.
 
Khamzat has got all the hype and when your juiced up president is saying "nobody wants to fight this guy" what better way to put yourself on the map than to go in a beat said fighter??

He's a good scrappy fighter, not boring in the least. Admittedly, the Wonderboy fight wasn't his best performance but hey, Gilbert Burns fought WB exactly the same.

I think the perception of Belal being boring is due to the fact that he doesn't finish. Not for a lack of trying though. He just needs to work on that aspect of his game.

People forget that a lot of top fighters like Khabib and Usman were decision machines for much of their career until they finally hit their stride.
 
So what's with all this nonsense about fighters ducking Khamzat again? Neil has been begging to fight him, Leon previously signed on to fight him, Belal's been calling him out. Seems more and more likely Khamzat is just being a diva and trying to hand pick a specific opponent.
 
The hate on Belal is unwarranted. Is he the most exciting fighter? No. Is he scrappy as fuck and unafraid to fight anyone? Yes.

belal is the shit. give him khamzat. lets see if the hype is real. and belal is right if he beats the hype the spotlight may be on him, but it prob wont. people dont see belal as exciting. i dont know why. perhaps he is a strong grappler and has a grapple heavy game. people tend to not like wrestlers. i have no clue why they just dont watch glory to avoid the grappling. but instead watch it then bitch about it constantly. just dont get it. your holding someone down against their will for 15-25 minutes.
 
He's right. Which is why I said Leon should have taken the fight when the ufc was trying to force him. He did just for covid to fuck it up but at first he wasn't with it. He needed the hype though and that's from a fan

Colby's no getting a 3rd shot anytime soon, and especially not off beating Khamzat who doesn't have a top ten win yet. The thing about beating a hype train is that if you beat them, people will just chock it up to them being all hype. Colby should focus on biggest money fights he can get (Jorge/Poirier) until either Usman loses, retires, or runs out of new match ups.

I think Dana's trying to get him a high profile fight and justify him getting a top 5 opponent by saying nobody lower wants to take the fight. Hopefully Belal or Magny get the Khamzat fight, would be kind of bullshit for him to jump them off a Dana lie.
 
he is right. It's better to fight khamzat that some guy who wont earn a title fight.
