Belal looked average

I can only imagine what it felt like if you paid 85$ for seing that perfomance. I had to skip the fight after the first two rounds.

I don’t mind anybody calling Belal boring(I don’t find him particular fun to watch, either), but don’t you dare be a Colby fan and call him boring or question his wins. Have some self-awareness.

This. Belal is not some incredibly fun fighter but at best Colby is slightly more entertaining than Belal

LMAO, what is with people not being able to separate their hatred of a fighter from their ability to analyze a fighters' skills. Average fighters don't easily beat Gilbert Burns.

Lots of average fighters beat a one armed Burns…

probably 3/4 of the ufc roster.

Burns was losing the fight before his arm was injured. I get it you don't like the guy, I don't think he's entertaining either but calling him average makes you look like an irrational hater.

I rarely flinch, but watching Belal repeatedly smash Durinho:s left arm was tough.

Don't like him but he looks strong, measured against a bone fide elite Welterweight.i don't know what the heck was going on with Burns though. He did look a shadow if himself.

Leon would take Belal apart. I want to see it (again!).

Holly Holm is an ish-ish decision machine, but even at 41, no one but champs can get a legitimate win over her.

I've frankly thought every fight Belal had would be a challenge he might not or would not pass, but until someone beats him.. sorry but he keeps moving up. And no matter how eye-test we might want to be about his skills, the more results the 'average' guy gets by keeping on winning against legit talent, the less those arguments about them being average look silly.

Just wait until he loses a fight, then we can start the "Belal was never that good" threads

An average fighter 50-45'd one of the best fighters on planet earth in the Welterweight division

Compare what Belal did to a one armed burns with what sterling did to a one armed dillashaw.

Stop making excuses for a lame fight from an average fighter.

A 20 min sparring session after Gilbert’s shoulder injury. There’s no excuse for not going for the finish. Belal could have attempted a TD, submission, something. He stayed on the feet and “looked busy” coasting for 4 rounds. That’s not a champion that I’d want to watch. Belal did the bare minimum once he knew Gilbert’s arm was handicapped. It was a disgrace.

Belal has good people behind him. I think Belal is somewhat limited but he follows gameplans very well and he makes it work.

Baffling performance. If someone tied your opponent's arm behind his back after the first round, would you change your game plan? Because Belal decided to fight on the same way, only with less aggression for the next 20 min. SMH

and still got a long win streak in mma than any of us.

He got the job done, wasn't pretty but was effective.

He put on a fantastic performance but he seemed to hesitate when he had the opportunity to finish
