200s should be good, extra wrapping around the knuckles. Or like Shihtzu said get a pair of NG-2s from winning and wrap those with your current 180s.
I apologize for being out of the discussion for a bit...picking the little ones up from school, dinner, baths, etc.
I swear, all of you guys (except the dbag lawmills2006) are freaking awesome!! My hometown (Louisville KY) used to be a great boxing city, not anymore. It is hard to find reliable information for "green" boxers like me. I just want ALL of you to know that I sincerely appreciate your expertise, your ideas, willingness to help me, and your overall friendliness. It is greatly appreciated.
I have so much more information now...and a good idea on which gloves/wraps would suit me best. Maybe I do have poor form being a beginner, maybe my knuckles are "soft and green" but it's great to have a solid pair of gloves in the meantime while I learn!!
I wish guys like stratocastr, Minowayfanatic, etc. Lived near me...would most certainly be great coaches, training partners and all around like minded guys. Oh!and friends as well!!!
I know everyone is very busy, and your time means a LOT to me...I don't have a lot of money and very sore knuckles- lol!! I appreciate everything.
As a further thought, guys... I am getting the 200 inch ringside wraps and stratocastr is going to give me some pointers on wrapping technique. If you guys had to pick only one and would be left on a deserted island with a heavy bag and either the mim ring to cage, the ringside, or the Hayabusa tokushu, which would you choose? Can we all agree on the best of these for three day a week all-out heavy hitting? I can not afford to make a mistake here...on a budget and my little kids are expecting another big Christmas this year-so I can't do trial-and-error, lol!! Again, you guys are great...and thank you again for the helpful info regarding my mini-mid-life crisis!
