pretty nice but why the black sole... I know the user picked it... shoulda stayed white with a gold stripe though to keep the look consistent.

Got my order today. My two pairs of gloves are the most comfortable I've ever owned. Will be reviewing them in the next few weeks.

I don't like facesavers, or anything but open face really, so plan on selling the one I was given, nice to get it and see what all the fuss was about though. Super compact, well designed and awesome materials.
 
U didnt like the facesaver at all? Or you dont like face savers in general minow?
 
In general I don't like facesavers or anything with cheek protectors. Especially with the facesaver you can't hide behind your lead shoulder like you can in an AIBA headguard which still isn't completely ideal. Occasionally I'll get beaten up and my nose busted, and will start considering the alternatives. Then the non-open face headguard arrives.. and I've already gone happily back to AIBA headguards. Used to spar in my coach's Winning FG2900 when Id forget my headguard, but even then I actually did prefer using I think a Green Hill (?) AIBA headguard. Actually have a little weird compulsive thing when I box of touching my nose with my hands every so often. When I can't do that it really annoys me.

Will say that just from the design, this is the best facesaver I've owned, the other being a Cleto Reyes. I think this was made just as well, but with a better design.

I've only ever used one once, but am looking for some headgear currently :)
 
My order came with a pair for someone I've been in contact with before in the UK about gloves, and I'll be sending them to him. His gloves were 12oz yellow leather, and the yellow leather used there is of a much better quality than the yellow leather that was used on a pair I bought at the end of last year. Glad to see they made that improvement as it was needed.

Here's a picture of the other dude's gloves, but they look quite a bit nicer in person. They were put up online by Bill awhile ago, I think. 12oz, nice and soft feeling to them.
