Battle of Burgers - Who does great beef burgers?

i kept hearing about 5 guys, we just got our first one. I went and it was $12 for the bacon/cheese burger, $3 for the fries, and $3 for drink, $18...it was good but $18? is that the price at all the 5 guys? for the money Ill take in and out.

Carl's Jr. is decent for fast food.

Agree, we don't have them up where I live in Canada (booooo). Had them when touring The States.

As far as fast food goes, I'd have to say that the jitb ciabatta burger was my favourite, but that hasn't been available for years. Carl's Jr has the closest thing to a real restaurant burger in my opinion.

I wonder how Wahlburgers burgers are...

A&W makes excellent Teen Burgers.

Out of nationwide chains it's Wendy's for sure. McDonald's and burger king suck tbh.

Five guys is great but is in a slightly different tier than fast food.

imo the meat at wendys is the best out of those choices. Id rather have 5 guys than wendys though.

either way, all that are listed are shit compared to simply buying ground beef and doin it yourself. its really quite simple and quite affordable for what you actually get. you dont even need a grill; a searing hot frying pan is enough to get a burger infinity better than you can get at any of these places

I have some amazing grills, but there is still no better way to cook a burger than in a pan (or on a flat-top) in its own fat. I also love smoking a burger with hickory for about 30 minutes, and then doing a "reverse sear" in bacon fat or butter.

Holy Chuck in Woodbridge is really good, but you lose about ten years of your life after eating there.

Most local diners do a decent burger.

Culvers has a good burger, but out of the lower tier places BK is the best. I've also never been a fan of the Angus burgers.

I'm from a smaller city in the midwest, so I've never had In and Out, What a Burger, or 5 guys. We just got a Dairy Queen where I live and those are pretty good too.

I did have an In and Out burger a couple of years ago when I was in Arizona. It was delicious, but I was loaded so I can't really make a fair assessment:D

I've been wondering how many people know about Culver's, they are seriously good.

I hope they can branch out and more people will get to know their awesomeness.

5 guys or Wendy's for chains.
Ottomanelli's and some hole in the wall diner on 7th by FIT for local places.

I'm in TX so Whataburger all day. Nothing better than going out and getting shit faced and munching out on a number 2 with grilled jalapeños and onions Hasselhoff style at 3am. Awwww Yeaaaaaa.

The Cheesecake Factory here in Vegas makes really good burgers. Coupled with their fríes in a cup and beverage, best stuff ever.
