Calling it now,

- Affleck will be the best thing about this movie. His version of Batman will surpass even Christian Bale's for sheer intensity/insanity.

- Cavil and Gadot will also nail their respective roles. In spite of this, the vast majority of people will still think of the film as, Batman Movie with Special Guest Stars.

- Luther and Doomsday will both suck. Just as in the Marvel movies, the Big Bad(s)will be the weakest link. Luther will come across as a Nerd who would probably give up his plans for world domination if he could only get laid regularly. Doomsday will be just another personality free mass of CGI who's only there to give the heroes something to punch. Like so many other comic book films(yes, I'm looking at you, Ultron).

My guess is aerosal kryptonite grenade. It looked green tinged and Supes looked a bit disoriented, and I think the one shot at him is kryptonite too.

If they are pulling from The Dark Knight Returns and there is no Green Arrow, you have to have Supes get a dose of kryptonite during the fight some how.

Luther was so horribly casted. He's acting cartoony in a film that is trying to take itself seriously...

Doomsday should have never been spoiled in a trailer. Well...he should never be shoe horned in a movie about batman fighting superman.

Such a fucking waste. I love the original death of superman storyline....this is just...ugh.

As to your second point. I do not think of this movie as a Batman film. I think it is a 2 and a half hour trailer for Justice League.

Batman is the main draw, though. DC wouldn't have spent this much time and money on a Superman film. The Dark Knight is the coolest character DC has. He will do most of the heavy lifting. It's a shame, but no matter how well Calvil and Gadot perform, and I think they will do very well, they are still essentially in supporting roles. Batfleck is the star.

Oh no disagreement here. I do not have high hopes, but I expect the performances to all be fine.

Except for maybe Eisenberg as Luthor. Nothing against him, I am a fan, it is just the wrong role.
