I'm one of the few that are very interested in Luthors character arc throughout the DC films. I think people wanted an actor with more physical presence, deeper voice and stoic demeaner. But the thing is that both Aflleck and Cavill are both actors with large physical presence, deep voices and stoic demeanors so I like the fact they are portraying Luthor as more charismatic and animated, it adds some variety.

One thing for sure though is that they will really play up the fact that he is an evil genius, perhaps even smarter than batman with access to even higher level of technology. I think he's going to be one of the main villains throughout the JL movies and MoS movies. Always in the background stirring shit up and bringing new tricks to the table, possibly even recruit JL members to join him. His greatest power will be his power to convince people to do things that he wants them to do, to manipulate them, as he did to Superboy Prime in the comics when he convinced him to destroy all the DC heroes.

I think they are really going to show just how powerful Luthors technology is, powerful enough to make mechanized suits to battle gods, genetic manipulation to create monsters like DD, this is going to be a Luthor we've never seen before. I think he will be the one of the most influential characters in the DCEU, he might even fight alongside the heroes against a bigger threat and then turn on them later.

I think Lex is going to be awesome. I like the interpretation of Lex that they may be going with. Lex vs Batman and Superman has a nerd vs jocks flavor to it that I enjoy. Except instead of the nerd being the lovable underdog you have a bitter nerd that took things too far. Obviously this is pure speculation. I have no idea if this is how Lex is going to be portrayed and I could be completely off.

Another thing I'm looking forward to(among many others) is Batman. Joe Bennett (who did the art of BvS prequels for Dr.Pepper) said in a interview for a brazilian site that the Ben Affleck's Batman will make everyone forget the previous played by Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney and Bale.

I can't wait to see what they do with the character, I think he's really going to surprise people but it's going to take a few films for people to appreciate the character. Totally agree with you on the Nerd vs Jocks aspect to it, Justice League is full of alpha male/female types, why put another tall, muscular alpha male type as the villain? Previous film versions of Lex have always portrayed him as the calm and collected type, but to me Lex is eccentric, incredibly arrogant and tactically brilliant, this Lex seems like he's doing things just for the sake of the challenge itself. He's seems like a mad genius who has accomplished everything and savors a new challenge.

I would love to see him make appearances in the JL films, a conversation between him and Darkseid/Brainiac would be awesome. We all know he is going to lose the hair at some point and he will also likely wear his armor, possibly even in BvS. He also ressurected Zod and created Doomsday, I'm thinking his level of tech is on another level even compared to Batman. His company seems like a advanced tecnhnology/biotech type, so it makes sense.

And I really don't see the Mark Zuckerberg comparison, I dare anyone to watch the social network and compare that character to the Lex we have seen thus far, they are totally different in terms of personalities, only similarity is they are both rich and own their own billion dollar tech companies.

I think they may even explore the possibility of Lex for President storyline in the future, he may create his own team of supervillains or robots to fight the JL. And he may even switch back and forth a few times between villain and hero, but at his core I think he will always be a villain due to his arrogance. It's all speculation of course but I have faith in this creative team.

As for Batfleck, his one line in the trailer "If there is even a 1% chance...." is the only time I"ve ever thought to myself: Thats Bruce Wayne from the comics in a movie. So I think he is going to just fine, and I have to give a lot of credit to the creative team and Affleck for portraying the character the right way.

i havent hated on lex, as there are many variations of luthor; i was hoping for the more subtle but dangerous and physically, not just mentally imposing.

this one is more of an earlier..child like...but clearly insane genius; the guy who dances across the line of funny, ridiculousness and complete viciousness/manipulative nature.

more like a technologically gifted, business focused joker...in a sense; not quite as random or savage as far as getting his own hands dirty. But just as manipulative...strategic and masterful in his ability to play ..control..direct people

BATMAN V SUPERMAN Runtime Revealed to Be 2 Hours and 31 Minutes

Batman-v-Superman-IMAX-Behind-the-Scenes-Dragonlord.jpg

It's go big or go home with most blockbusters these days. Supersized budgets, coupled with the need for spectacle, and maximizing the audience dollars means that tentpoles routinely run past two hours, and Zack Snyder is certainly going the extra mile when it comes to Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

AMC Theaters has revealed that the superhero showdown will keep you in your seat for two hours and thirty-one minutes. That's eight minutes longer than Man Of Steel, nine minutes longer than Avengers: Age Of Ultron, but doesn't reach the mammoth length of Christopher Nolan's 164 minute The Dark Knight Rises.

What does mean for the actual movie? Not much. Either the story works for the length or not, and given that Batman v Superman is expected to cram in not just Wonder Woman, but appearances from other Justice League characters and more, the breathing room seems to make some sense.

JUSTICE LEAGUE - PART 1 Begins Filming April 11; Shooting Location Revealed

Justice-League-52-Dragonlord-1.jpg

Zack Snyder’s Justice LeaguePart 1 is officially a go at Warner Bros. and will begin filming on April 11, a little over two weeks after the release of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the director and studio tell EW.

“The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing,” says Snyder, who also directed 2013’s Man of Steel and has become one of the key figures in shaping DC’s connected film universe.

“It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming,” he said. “But I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”

Justice League, which will be released on Nov. 17, 2017, will shoot at the Warner Bros. Leavesden studios in southeast England, as well as various locations around London and in Iceland. While this film is being designated Part 1, the follow-up installment, which will shoot separately, is already on the studio’s release schedule for 2019.

While three years passed between the release Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman, that was mainly because the various creative teams were mapping out so many interlocked stories. “The studio really wants us to try and pace it up, as far as —now we have an idea where we’re going,” Snyder says.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN to Get R-Rated Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray Release

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to get an R-rated "Ultimate Edition" release on Blu-ray, according to the Classifications and Ratings Administration.

Titled Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition, the expanded cut is likely to be similar in scope to Batman V Superman director Zack Snyder's Ultimate Cut of Watchmen.

It's reportedly rated R only for "scenes of violence," so it's unlikely this is a byproduct of Deadpool's massive success and the spate of R-rated comic book movies now rumored to be in development.

Two and a half hours sounds kinda long.

Two and a half hours gives me hope that the trailers did not reveal the whole story line.

There's a video someone put out that compiled all footage shown thus far in sequential order(or attempts to guess at the order) and it's only 10 mins long. So if you've seen EVERY trailer, tv spot, and whatever else, you've seen only 10 mins of the movie. 10 mins out of a 2 and a half hour movie isn't that bad imo.

And the thing is all the footage are from the same scenes for the most part.

Hey, hopefully theres lots a cool stuff going on in the 2 hours 20 minutes not in the trailers. I'm just saying, I feel like I've already watched the movie after the spoilerfest that was the 2nd trailer. The only thing that trailer left unclear is whats the deal with Supes in the tunnel with the Brown shirts.

I think Bruce is having a knight-mare of a power hungry Supes in that scene.

I was saying this to my friend. The biggest reveal we've seen in the movie is doomsday, and that is when WW shows up. There is no way WW doesn't show up in costume until the finale. I think the first act is B vs S, the second act is B, S, and WW vs. DD, and the third act is basically completely unknown, and will involve bald lex.

This just seems like a ploy to piggyback of the Deadpool success. I doubt very seriously that whatever they include in the "r" release is going to need an R rating.

Very happy about the runtime.

Better to be too long, than too short.
