It's strange in this thread.. When people mention Marvel movies they leave out X-Men. DOFP was a legit good movie. First Class was decent as well. GOTG and DOFP literally sh*t on the Avengers, imho. Higher hopes for Civil War.

Well because the X - Men Movie rights are owned by FOX and Disney owns everything else and Sony finally gave Spiderman back to Marvel ( Sorta )

He's in the minority the actually liked this movie. Maybe he's the dumb one.
Because I can comprehend whats going on in a movie? Makes sense.
I red a lot of comics growing up and throughout my life. Yes it's addressed, but the way it's addressed is dumb. In the standard continuity Clarks gripes would have made sense, as he's a boy scout compared to Batman. This version of superman killed a dude in MOS. He also showed no reservations about punching a dude through multiple buildings in a densely populated area in MOS, and made no effort to move the fight to a more secluded area. He also kills a dude in BVS as well.

So yes the movie mentions why he is pissed at batman, but the reasons given make no goddamn sense given the dark and gritty version of superman they've chosen to use. This superman is not a boy scout. Yes they setup why Batman is pissed at superman, and his reasons have a lot more logic to them.

Still doesn't justify why he acts like a retard the entire movie, and is so aggressive towards a guy that could kill him instantly if he chose to, but continually tries to talk to him instead of engage in violence. Yes yes he saw the collateral damage from the fight with Zod, but he failed to notice that since that he has never killed an innocent, and is shown saving people from harm all over the place. It doesn't make sense that he's so convinced Superman is this huge threat given he's been watching his actions for years.

Why would Lois go back for the weapon she threw in the water without anyone telling her they need it for Doomsday? Made zero sense, was done purely to advance the plot. Every single one of my complaints ( except Amy Adams looking haggard lol) has to do with the logic presented in the movie being stupid, not with me failing to understand what was going on.

I grasped what was going on just fine, however it was utterly retarded. These are the same complaints many people have made, these are not unique complaints.
You asked a question like there wasn't an answer for it and when there was one it's now just dumb. Wow. If you've actually read comic books you could bitch like that too about the storys but I'd imagine you wouldn't be much a comic book fan to begin with. Just like you.

based on Friday estimates, The boss could beat out BvS this weekend, and next weekend mowgli will be king of the jungle

I don't think a majority in here disliked the movie.. I mean, you can see the poll. I have it a 6/10, and could have gone as high as 7. Not a terrible movie. Not great.

I've said it before but it bears repeating: imagine if they'd gone head to head with Civil War...

(Sideshow Bob Shudder:eek:)

And that's the problem: when you have the two most iconic superheroes in history in the same movie, just "good" isn't going to cut it.

You probably liked fantastic four.

Exactly they know they can get mindless zombies to buy a subpar film.

doubt it, the merchandising alone will shit all over MoS profits.

Yeah the merchandising. Cause everyone wants a tshirt/action figure of an awful movie

This movie is not even going to cross 800 million. Complete failure in every sense

I saw it and i paid for it. it's a 5 or 6.

Movie is rushed. What boggles my mind is that its rushed without a lot on interesting things happening. It was a bit boring and when it got to the fight, it was short. When the double climax occurs that fight was. ...passion less. They try to put in some interest in their final battle but i wanted more of the fight that was in the title. it was disappointing.

Oh and the music when wonder woman arrived was cringe worthy.

Anyway, i more or less agree with everyone. If you can find it online, See it, cuz i don't recommend paying for it.

this movie will make less profit then Man of Steel
it didn't already profit?

Just 1 article of like 20

clearly you got some issues.

A decent movie where quality matters not to their ability to peddle cheap to make crap to kids. Transformers already proven this beyond any argument.

I don't know why the people that liked this movie feel the need to make so many false assumptions about the people that didn't. Yes I didn't like the same movie as you so I'm a filthy casual.

For like the 5th time itt, yes I'm a long time comic fan, even though that really has no relevance whatsoever. Perhaps the fact that my av is a comic book character would clue people in to that. Also my list was plot points that either made no sense or lacked logic. That doesn't in any way mean I was confused or too dumb to follow the movie. Legitimately don't understand people coming to that conclusion.

Some of it is things they explained but their explanation was lacking, like the animosity Supes and batman had for each other. Some of it was just dumb stuff that made no sense, like Lois going back for the spear like she magically knew they needed it, or the alien craft blindly following Luthor's orders.

These are criticisms of the movie. Being critical of a movies plot does not mean you don't understand the plot, it means you have issues with it.

I think the ongoing discussion and the great first weekend are proof that there absolutely is a market for these kinds of movies, but poor execution and/or making parts of the movie inaccessible to general audiences is a really poor business strategy. They could have made a shitload more money off this movie if it had more of a crowd pleasing aspect to it.

I gave it a 7 for the experience , ne a repeat viewing yes the dumb decisions and the poor casting of Eisenberg stood out but over all Affleck's batman and how badass WW was saves this for me along with Zimmer's Score it sounds Regal and Epic , but please , for the love of God give Superman to another Director I really think Snyder hates the Superman mythos.
