BATMAN V SUPERMAN Thread v.12

You're basing this one nothing. Literally none of the comic book "experts" I know personally like the movie. Their highest review seems to be "Meh."

Im as big a comic book and comic book movie fan as anyone, and this movie was thoroughly disappointing even as I'd agree that it's not as bad as the aggregate scores can make it seem (stuff like 29% on RT).

People with personal connections to the characters seem to be having the biggest problem. Batman killing people, batman being an idiot, stupid reasons for them fighting each other, lack of or laughable motivations for the characters, a waste of Doomsday.

This is what comic book fans are saying, not film critics.

If you liked it, that's cool. But let's not throw out some sort of pretentious "Comic Book Expert" opinion as if you aren't a minority even among the die hard audience of this movie.

Nolan's Batman was a brute who killed henchmen and got outsmarted by every villian, so long as "comic book experts" hold the Nolan trilogy up to the same scrutiny I'm fine.

ooops!, my bad! I'm gonna delete that
(that's embarrassing!)
Tis alright. Just always read the article when it's around April Fools Day. And always check from multiple sources before you post it.

he said he like it.

Did you watch the entire hour or not? Sounds like you didn't.

I dunno why Kevin Smiths opinion is more important than everything else.

I don't know what your point is.

I don't recall him killing henchman or comic book Batman not being a brute.

not just his opinion, but a lot of Comic book fans.

Emergency Awesome gave it a solid B, which is 8/10.

I actually liked the Aqua man and Jason Mamoa as Aqua man.

Aqua man are suppose to be the Thor of Justice league, he suppose to be a strong king of Atlantis with every sea creature as his army.

watching him as Khal Drogo, i knew he is going to nail the Aqua man character.

can't wait for the aquaman movie.

I like mamoa as auqaman, I just did t like
him hanging out in wreckage like an eel doing nothing. What was he doing in here? The king of Atlantis hanging out in debris. Doesn't he have things to do, places to go, people to meet? Wtf?

I never said nobody liked it. Im specifically singling out your notion that "Comic Book Experts" like it in general, which is anecdotal and completely at odds with my own personal experience.

Im just saying if you like it that's fine, but don't get on some high horse about how you have a deeper understanding of it because youve read comic books.

Just say you liked it and it worked for you.

well of course its kinda anecdotal, but from my own experience, movie goers are not a big fan but comic book fans really liked the movie.

and im just pointed out that a lot of top level nerd agree with me.

in batman begins, after bruce completes his training, he's prompted to kill a local murderer. he refuses stating that the man must stand trial. bruce reluctantly agrees to kill the man, but sabotages the procedure and then burns the place down, killing asian ra's al ghul and the rest of the henchmen, only leaving Liam ra's al ghul.

If you liked this movie then more power to you

I tried my best to but it's just a massive piece of crap

The animated World's Finest crossover is better than this and that was released 20 years ago on network TV

Luthors jolly rancher scene like wtf cmon man

Thats pretty thin. Ras al Ghul died because he stuck around and got hit by debris. The henchmen mostly ran away. It wasnt like it was an intentional act to kill everybody. Even besides that, he wasnt Batman yet.
