Audience numbers also dropped 38% between Friday and Sunday, second only to the 40% drop off suffered by The Dark Knight Rises.
Don't know if anybody answered this, but... Easter. There was only a few people in the theater with me on Easter.

edit: somebody answered this literally 2 posts after you commented.

Overall it was pretty shit.

well its your opinion bro.

but im sure your are not as expert to superhero movies and shows as emergency awesome.

most of comic book fans and DC fans that i know liked it, including me.

i thought it was a solid 8.5/10

much better than ultron and certainly much better than ant man.

What about all the "expert" critics that disagree with you, which would be most of them? Does an appeal to authority only count when they agree with you?

Sorry this was no Ant-man. The editing and cuts on this film was close to amateur. If only they cut the story up like the first Sin City, it would have been decent with all the story lines and characters they tried cram into one film.

I liked Ant Man a lot actually

But BVS is better than Ant man and here is why

Ben Affleck
Better end fight
Batman v Superman
Doomsday >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yellow Jacket
Batman
Wonder woman
Batman

most of them are expert in movies, not expert in superheroes/comic based movies.

they don't count the Easter egg, they don't have personal connection to the character.

most comic book expert i know rated higher than 6/10.

I watched Ant-Man. Was "entertained" for the first 30 minutes, ended up falling asleep for 20 minutes or so but I ended up seeing the whole thing. It was a 'good' movie, it flowed pretty well, has good acting and visuals and some humour and light hearted moments. Objectively speaking it fits the criteria of what is considered a "good" movie.

It's also a movie that I never think about, its a movie that I forgot about 2 minutes after watching it, I barely remember any scenes in it. The characters, story and themes are nothing but a distant memory in my mind. I have absolutely no desire to watch it again, like none. 2 years from now I will never remember that it was ever made. I have no opinion on the movie, its characters, the tone and themes. It's ambiguous, its another movie in a sea of movies.

So I can look at a movie 2 ways:

1) does it fill the criteria of what the majority of people and critics consider to be a good or entertaining film, is it good on a technical level: FX, acting, editing, etc.

or the other way is:

2) Do I actually like this movie, will I ever want to see it again, Does it align with my personal preferences, Does it make me think, Does the movie resonate with me and stay with me after the first viewing?

On the first criteria, Ant-Man is 7.5 out of 10
On the second criteria, Ant-Man is 0 out of 10

Snyder really has a hard time editing down his movies

Nothing happened for over an hour

They turned Batman into a murderer

Wonder Woman was like thrown in at the last minute

And Lex Luthor...ugh

And the whole story around the kryptonite/spear/Lois being a idiot

Such a piece of crap movie
And I went in with an open mind and tried to be positive but there's only so much I can take

It's a blockbuster tentpole movie, you can't aim to please ONLY hardcore fans. As a hardcore fan I noticed a lot of the little extras, and the nods to other continuities. I was still lost at the darkseid/alternate future nod though, which is sort of the point. These movies should be accessible to anyone that likes the characters, but they have so much going on that's briefly explained or not explained at all.

If your movie doesn't have a coherent plot and good pacing, you're going to get a 5 or 6 out of 10. I doubt they made the movie intending to appeal to only the most hardcore fanbase, seeing as they invested hundreds of millions into it and expect it to anchor their entire CU.

well looking at the audience ratings in rotten tomatoes and IMDB, its look like most regular fans like it.

most of critics i've heard are from Movie "expert" who are does not know these character very much

most comic book fans like it and most regular audience like it ( because the fight scene was well done) so i think overall the movie was great.

my point is i think i care more about the opinions of superheroes movies/tv shows experts rather than people who judge these movies like any other movies.

Saw it on Saturday, and was throughly entertained. I'd give it a solid 7.5/10.

It had it's issues, as many haters have made it seem like those issues are all that matters. But I'm reserving most of my judgement until after the R-rated 3 hour Extended Cut.

But I will say, if you went back in time to when it was announced that Ben Affleck would be Batman, and told people on the internet that his performance would be the one aspect of the movie that would receive universal praise.... people would hunt you down and kill you slowly while forcing you to watch the Daredevil movie.

And second, it was one of the biggest coincidences in cinema history that both Superman's and Batman's mothers are both named Martha.

Why does Superman say Martha instead on Mom , somebody teach that boy some respect

I'll say this (have seen it 2 times). The 2nd time the film made a bit more sense to me (had to do some asking on her and some internet researching).

Also, I enjoyed this film more than the avengers movies (they just seem like cartoons to me - well scarlett johannson in tight clothes is cool and all.)

For me is the opposite.

Im a comic book fan but Im not going to rate a movie high just because of fan service and estern eggs when pacing and plot was crap, especially when most of it was badly done or is not even accurate to the comics like people defending the movie claim, most characthers did not even resemble the comic counterparts (Emo superman, young joker Luthor, a plain loking Doomsday) Batman was good but even he was from a elseworlds continuity , him wanting to kill Superman t was out of characther even for DKR Batman.

I mean those things would not have break the film if it was actually good, just like Nolan films wich took liberties with the characthers, but the film was bad.

i think the plot was good, i agree that they cramping too much, but i think they still manage.

the CGI and the fight scene was great as well, and i like Batman and Wonder Woman casting, infact i think i like the superman casting too, i though Superman could be little bit more innocence, but thats okay.

there is still two movie before Justice league part 1, i think if those movie come out great ( which i think it will be ), it will going to be great set up for Justice league part 1.

as a DC fans im excited.
