I did a seminar with Bas recently, afterward we went to dinner, and he told me that he was supposed to fight Wanderlei in pride, four ounce gloves, K1 rules. He said he was in great shape and explained his game plan. I told him that would've been one of the greatest match ups ever. Bas may be too sharp in the ring, maybe.

But, who would win, both in their prime, in a street fight?

Nobody could stop Wanderlei in his prime. Nobody.

But in a streetfight, Bas has a bit of an advantage.

IDK, I'd still take Wand. Drops Bas with a wild right hand in a brawl, then finishes him with knees/punts on the ground.

You are right about no one being able to stop a prime Wanderlei, but say that in a street fight bas win, I do not know. Let's not forget that Wand grew up in poor neighborhoods in Curitiba, Brazil. Surely the "cachorro louco" was involved in many street fights, despite being a pacifist.

wand by headbutt KO, IVC was no better than skilled street fight and wand was good there

Would have been a great fight but wanderlei would have taken iy

That would have been a war had it happened and I would give the edge to Wanderlei.

Bas over Wand in any type of fight , not even close either .

Vitor, Cro Cop, and Henderson all stopped him in his prime. Or wait, was his prime after Vitor and before Cro Cop?

As far I know, Bas has never lost a pure standup match. The only times i remember him losing were to submission early on before he got good on the ground. Stand up, bas was pretty bad ass. Not many could stand with him. He was a great muay tai kickboxer. But it would have been a war.

As a huge Wanderlei Silva fan I still have to take prime Bas! Dude was a beast and he definitely didn't mind street fights

wand was dropped by tito

bas via BADANGA BADANGA BADANGAAAAAAAAA

I'll take Bas in this one. Wandy threw a lot of looping punches, while Bas is better technically and throws straighter punches. Bas catches Wandy on the chin and it's over, Bas by KO.
