He ate big shots from barboza and walked him down like terminator !
He is friggin unstoppable say what you want he took that spinning kick to the head without a whimper. Freakin gangster!

Here's hoping he stays healthy, and that goal comes to fruition
If I’m not mistaken, Khabib’s dad has been vocal about not wanting him to fight much past the age of 30, which he turns in 2018. And from what I understand of their relationship, Khabib holds his father’s opinion at the highest regard. Who knows, we may just see him become champion, defend his title a time or two, and then never hear from him again. I mean he’s basically already the most dominant fighter in UFC history as it stands anyways. Better enjoy these fights while we can.

We've seen worse beatings than that happen without towels being thrown.

Barboza was basically a live dog until that very last takedown late in the third and final round.

Khabib will want to fight til 40 once he sees that Reebok paycheck bounce clear. Tough to walk away from that kind of scratch.

And...nah.

He landed that nasty spinning head kick in the 3rd. He looked better then than he did at the start of the fight.

You just answered your own query in the opening statement of the OP.

If barboza is landing big shots... then he's still in it. I think Rogan hypnotized you when he said that during the event. Don't fall for his tricks.

I got love for him... but he ain't always on point. That was one of those times.

He beat 9 UFC fighters. Most of which are trash. His other fights were against cans as well. GSP could have stayed in TKO and smash 20 cans to make his record appear better.

Barboza would rather die then have his corner wave the white flag.

Lots of people thought that, in between the 2nd and 3rd round, he then came out and fired off some good shots. I think his pride was more hurt then his body.

Afger the 1st rnd Khabib was very spairing (yet highly efficient) with his GnP, there was no need to stop the fight

Why does everyone repeat what Joe Rogan says?

No way. He wasn't gassed or rocked. He was still in it. You gotta let fighters fight through adversity.

While Khabib's g&p was accurate and efficient, one has to wonder why he couldn't land a decisive shot. I think if you have that much trouble finding the kill shot, then you should seek a submission. Barboza was surprisingly springy after that onslaught. I think it looked worse than it was.

Barboza needs better boxing. His takedown defense was okay, but he kept moving backwards, and couldn't make Khabib pay on his feet when he had his chance.

No. Warriors don't quit . I'm a big khabib fan, but my respects with Barboza for showing such a big heart.

Edson's stock went up IMO. The guy is a warrior.

No wjy to waste a towel
He would lose anyway
So now they still habe the towel
They can use it for different things
For example washing or washing it or yo

agreed.

Barboza is always dangerous and could have got the KO at any moment in the stand-up but it was obvious af that he was concussed after round 1.

Huge Khabib fan and was nervous af for him in this fight but felt so bad for Barboza.

Bullshit OP.

Barboza is ALWAYS dangerous. He just missed taking off Khabib's head in the 3rd.

I agree. Khabib turn Edson into a zombie 80% of the fight.

Edson would not be the same after that.

He wasn't totally out of it but those kicks weren't that dangerous IMHO, Khabib was in too close to allow him to get full power.

Coming from the stand point of having cornered team mates and close friends I would have probably thrown in the towel depending on what Barboza was like when I talked to him on the stool. That was my initial thought when I saw him stagger back at the end of the 2nd. I hated seeing him take all that extra punishment in the 3rd when he was gassed and not in it mentally despite the spinning heel kick.
