Chris Pontius comes across like a good guy. I always like Brandon dicamillo too, probably the most underrated one of the bunch. He has real comedic skills unlike the others. Manny the animal expert they'd use seems great too

A lot of the less popular jackass guys have actually held up much better actually. They couldn't live off their fame so had to adjust to normal life and ended up having families and normal jobs and stuff
 
Didn't hos best friend or buddy die then he went to pieces an never recovered I guess. I think k that's what I remember when he was booted from Jackass
 
Between the Nine Club podcast and Steve Os, I've followed a little bit. Last I knew, he was supposedly sober and had a shaman. He still seemed very wired up and I'm not shocked he relapsed.

He was arrested last week for assaulting some women, was filmed drunkenly shouting at his ex wife in a restaurant and is currently on the run after a arrest warrant was issued for him after assaulting his brother

The first year or 2 after quitting was awful, but it progressively got better.
4 years after I quit I met and married my wife, and she became my best friend to be honest.
She's a good woman, and Im lucky to have her in my life.

We have been married 11 years now, I don't even think about doing drugs anymore, because it wouldn't be worth losing everything I've worked for sir.

Life is not easy, but it is definitely good.

Nine club has the best skate interviews in the history of media.
C-Rob shouldn't be hosting that though.
Roger should be, and that's because he has more knowledge than everyone in that house combined.

Good show overall though sir.

To be fair a lot of people thought that about me as well so there's still hope sir.

Everyone cutting him off is really the best thing for him tbf.

I just saw a new piece put out on Roger. He must have bad anxiety in front of the camera. He was actually suicidal when the show first got successful. Here is it - definitely worth the watch.

Yeah I've seen that, its really good and I feel for Roger as he is my dude.
He just has all the skate knowledge a man could want.

Fuckin guy filmed everything, everyone, and even the moments he didn't film...he seemed to be there for.

I know they got him in the back, but he should chime in more.
Jeron is a good dude too, can't stand Kelly to be honest lol.

It's really interesting watching them skate now. I'm 40, and was very into skating from 13 until about 25. I mainly skated stairs, gaps, rails, ledges, etc. I was probably best with stairs and gaps. I didn't skate from 25 until about 32. I mean I maybe stepped on the board once or twice a year, but that was it. We bought a house with a long blacktop driveway and my kids are always out in it, so it got me skating again. Similar to how they skate the curbs all of the time, I had to completely alter how I skate. Everything I skate is micro lol. I have a box the height of a curb, one about 10 inches, a rail that is 12 inches, and a 2 foot quarter pipe. I really don't want to pop the board much anymore, and I think that's their mindset too. Late 30s hits hard...

The slappy craze with those guys is completely understandable though.
I haven't stepped on a board in quite a few years now.
 
I never saw the appeal of the chap. Seemed like an arsehole fucking around with arseholes. Like sure, skateboarding, stunts etc, but why do people idolise people who are obviously damaged and create shit content?

What I mean is, sure it's sad a person is struggling, but why is it any more sad than anyone else not famous having issues?

Does the guy have any redeeming features?

You have to give him credit for the way he blended his skating and the stunts in videos like CKY. Shortly after, Jackass is launched as well. There was a huge market for it and he cashed in. He parlayed that into other shows. You can argue that he created a market and he maximized that. I worked at a skate shop in the early 2000s and his board sales were higher than all other boards combined.

it's crazy how booze kinda get this "free pass" as far as public image...I mean the phrase is "drugs and alcohol" like we're saying booze is only a pseudo-drug? my brother-in-law is like 42 and did a short stay at rehab two years ago to quit drinking. he stuck to it. and one of my best friends quit drinking last year. both are the type of people that if they have one drink, it doesn't stop until they pass out. for a while I was having 3-4 glasses of whisky as a "night cap". of course not getting blackout, but still not healthy. then I found swapping that out for about 20mg of delta-8 THC has been much better
