I likened him to Korn starting nu metal!

I get that he was good at his job. Or at least he was bad enough at his job but competent enough that he focused on skits and producing etc.

My point was that I don't really see why people are that invested in him. Punked was happening at the same time, plenty of other shows historically pranked guests etc. I'm not even convinced with your arguement he started anything particularly and even if he did, I don't think it was that important.

All of us is luck and right time, place. Some people create beauty, and they are great. I just don't think he was one if the. Still I wish him the best and hope he kicks his addictions.

I feel we will just have to hold different opinions!

I think folks are lying when jack ass 3 came out the theater was packed and loud AF it was an event same for Jackass forever. jackass forever was post covid so filling a theater in my liberal ass city was an achievement for a movie.

We all grew up asking each other "How much money would it take for you to........" and Bam basically monetized that. I wish I was that creative.

I don't think it was a right place at the right time type of deal. He took something that had already existed in skateboard videos and realized that they got old quick, especially for non skateboarders. He started implementing content into those videos that non skateboarders would be entertained by and wound up figuring out what people reacted to and what they didn't.

In a way he was essentially 50% of the brain trust in Jackass, a multi million dollar franchise and he started it all with a simple video camera and a lot of creative ideas. The dude figured out how to make millions by pushing people in shopping carts into bushes. That's impressive as hell.
 
Never had any connection to any of the jackass guys as great people.

If Steve-o is doing better than you,you probably have to take a real long hard look at yourseld.
 
Morbid thought, odds on he doesn't make it over 2 more years. Viva La Bam was a great show but dude is a lost fucking soul.
Jackass legacy will be dedicated to Ryan and Bam sadly
 
Latest update is he’s still on the run and smoking meth puddles either in a car with his gf and her 8 year old son… or hopefully a motel 6 …
