Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

Is there an 'Unofficial Best Console Mods' list?

The ones that are overwhelming positive reviews that add to the experience?
I've seen a bunch but don't have the links, sorry. I bet if you just type that into Google you'll find some.

For me unlimited party members, various hair and beards, and improved UI are must haves. I haven't downloaded it yet, but increased random encounters should be fun.

Any of the weightless mods I hear are good if you worry about that - I personally like having to watch how much my party is carrying.

One that I have that I like but may be too good is a weapon mod that has Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. Fun to use, but quite busted.

Shortblade bladesinger wizard with the Shadow blade, blooming blade combo is pretty fantastic. Proper magic leaning gish character.

I just started a playthrough today and went Hexblade Warlock. Same combo of SB+BB and even low level it's melting fools.

I have Gale as a Bladesinger.

Wyl is also a Hexblade.

So I've gotten to the Zen hideout. Made Karlach a Path of the Giants barbarian, so far having her throw things is a mixed bag. I'm so used to running her up and smashing people that I am getting too close and not really able to use her effectively.

Same with me being a Hexblade and Lazeal as an Arcane Archer. I've got to get used to the new classes.

Have you tried the bladesinger wizard yet? I've only really dug into the hexblade, shadow sorcerer, death cleric and drunken monk and bladesinger which was the most fun for my taste so far.

Got Gale as a Bladesinger. Not digging it so far to be honest. Haven't tried the death cleric or shadow sorcerer yet. I've got a drunken monk who isn't bad, but pretty squishy (need more ki points to truly be effective).

So, just hit level 6 on everyone and now (most) of the new classes are really starting to shine. I'm in the creche and killing younlings like Anikin on a bender.

Hexblade - I was digging this with Booming Blade anyways, but now I get astral spirits to aid in the fun. Only killed medium sized people with it so far, but it's always nice to have another free source of damage (as long as the hit).

Shadow sorcerer - (note, I have no idea how to play a sorcerer of any kind well). Still squishy, but at level 6 you get the goodest of good boys in Nimbus, who makes copies of himself when he takes damage. Winning! Haven't managed to pull of the elemental damage trick yet, but I will. Oh, I will.

Giant barbarian - You get to hit a motherfucker with another motherfucker - what more really needs to be said? I am having a bit of an issue with how I want to approach combat with Karlach now. I want to throw shit at you since I now have elemental cleaver and can turn any weapon into Mjolnir, but I also want to hit a motherfucker with another motherfucker and then kick a 3rd... first world problems.

Swashbuckler - Still a work in progress. I'm so used to using my thief as a long-range sniper, and you can do that here, but they play better up close so you can use their dirty tricks.

Swarm keeper Ranger - OH I am LOVING this class. Hit them at range and then do extra damage for free or teleport if they are getting too close (range on the teleport is really small though). Jellyfish are the best choice for swarm, especially if you can get your target in water first.

Arcane archer - Not feeling this one. The trick arrows are nice, but I think you're better off with the ranger for your long-range needs.

Spellsinger - Still working out the kinks here. I think I need to respec Gale to get the most out of this class. Feels odd to have a spellcaster getting into the fray.

Drunken Monk - I really don't know what to make of this class. Having to burn a free action at the start of combat to get drunk is annoying and I don't know how long the effects last out of combat to try and keep him drunk all day. Another class that is pretty squishy for a frontline fighter.

Oath of Crowns Paladin - I'm liking this one so far as a tank. Turn the tides has saved my ass more than once already.

Death domain cleric, Starry form druid, and the glamour bard haven't been tried yet, but I think I might respec Shadowheart into the death cleric. I'll need to wait on trying the druid until I get Halsin or Jaheira.

Ranking so far -
1 - Hexblade Warlock
2 - Giant Barbarian
3 - Swarmkeeper Ranger
4 - Shadow Sorcerer
5 - Swashbuckler Thief
6 - Crown Paladin
7 - Spellsinger Wizard
8 - Drunken Monk
9 - Arcane Archer

So I just found a whole new spot that I thought was inaccessible ON THE FIRST MAP!!!!

This game just keeps delivering.

I'm on a dark urge playthrough (my second overall), I've found a bunch of things I didn't know about, non-durge changes (I guess I made some different choices) and the durge changes

I'm at Moonrise Tower and just found ANOTHER area I hadn't been to before. This one took a little Parkour action, and nothing really major is there, but damn I love this game.

Hex Blade Warlock is a broken cheese class. I love it. The Accursed Spectre you get after killing an enemy that has been hex cursed has been surprisingly good, and you can get more than one!

Giant Barbarian is so much fun to play. Being able to Sparta kick people every turn will never get old, and I'm enjoying bitch slapping people with other people. I seriously laugh every time. Elemental Cleaver is amazing. Chuck a weapon that already has special damage, then add another for shits and giggles.

Swashbuckler Rogue is a mixed bag for me. Without multiclassing with a fighter, only having the single "real" attack hurts since you can't dual wield effectively. I do rather enjoy the free attacks they get, especially being able to disarm someone. I've pulled this trick off a number of times and get to watch fools try and do anything major without a weapon.

Shadow Sorcerer has been fun. Love Nimbus and all the extra pooches he brings out. I need to get better at using the spells this class offers.

Oath of the Crown Paladin has been super useful. Tanking hits to other characters or just making the opponent want to attack you has been vital in some of the fights.

Swarm Keeper Ranger has been tons of fun. I think I prefer the jellyfish out of all the three swam choices, with bees a close second. Don't care for the moths at all.

Arcane Archer and Star Form Druid both are fairly useful, but nothing I feel are must plays. The arcane arrows are nice and handy, but most of the time I feel just using a special arrow does the same or better (with the enfeebling arrow being an exception - that one rocks). The starry forms are just ok, but it is nice to be abe to transform into one and still be able to cast other spells.

Drunken Fist Monk, Death Domain Cleric, and Blade Singing Wizard are all kinda meh in my opinion. College of Glamour Bard isn't very good tbh.

I'm using a bunch more scrolls and elixirs this run through. I used to use just the one for giant strength and maybe colossal size. I never really realized how good the arcane ones were, or the elixir of bloodlust.

I've also found that I am using Spiritual Weapons more than ever. Never realized just how good the spell is. I've nearly taken down bigger foes using just those.

I'm on a booming blade triggering sneak attack for a swashbuckling rogue trip at the moment. Swashbuckling rogue just made sneak attack too easy. No sneaking needed lol

Yeah, I have Astarion hooked up with Booming Blade and he's putting in work.

What weapon are you using? I picked up a Justiciars Scimitar (three actually) and have him using that currently. I was using the Blade of the Undermountain King.

I like Phalar Aluve for the debuffs and being a big ass sword still. I'm in act 3 with armor of agility and I like the look together.

I was using that with him for a while, but moved it to my TAV.

This playthrough I'm paying much more attention to weapons and even powers than before. Previously I was just brute forcing my way through the game. I don't think I used Hunters Mark a single time before, and now I'm using it every battle.

My TAV is my rogue, I always kill Astarion so I get all the cool dex gear.

Besides my rogue, I've mostly been using Lae'zel to throw people or Karlach to throw people/giant kick them. My TAV then stabs them or Shadowheart casts on their prone ass.

I really just started tossing/giant kicking people because it's funny but it's turned out to be effective crowd control.

I'm sure I'll switch again at some point.

I am near the end of the game in my first playthrough. I am doing co op with my wife. The only mod I used was unlock level curve.

I have been extremely impressed with the game thus far. Planning to do another run in the near future with more mods and maybe a harder difficulty.

Throwing on foe into another, and then throwing THAT one into a third, AND THEN Sparta kicking a 4th is just so much fun.

Or throwing them into a fire or ice field you've already set up.

Started my first playthrough, finally. I'm about 10 hours in, taking things slowly. Mostly I'm still deciding who I want my 3 main companions to be, and how to spec people. Wyll seems pretty useless so far, but the Githyanki woman disapproves of every choice I make, so Wyll is in for the moment, haha.

The game can feel pretty overwhelming at times, it's choice after choice after choice.

I take it back, Lae'Zel is a great character, much better arc (so far, I'm right at the end of Act 1 now) than most of the others. I'm more interested in what's going to happen to her than the others.

I read the wiki before ending Act 1 to check what I'd missed, turned out I'd missed a companion entirely, Gale. Not very impressed with him so far, even his voice acting seems pretty weak, but I've picked up his companion quest and developed it as far as I can until I finally go to Moonrise Towers.
