Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

Just saw they have you achievement called Jack of all trades wants you to multi class in every class in one playthrough. I'll probably end up trying that eventually

So is this thing finished for real now?

Yea it's been fully released getting rave reviews. Could be the surprise GOTY honestly. Still have some heavy hitters left this year but this one has blown up more than expected.
Sweet last couple months have been stressful AF I need a good game to escape in. Bg 1 and 2 are basically my favorite games ever.

Been patiently waiting years for them to finish completely because I wanted to have the full experience the first time through, not have to stop and wait years. Probably gonna take days to download lmao, maybe I'll get it when I get home.

Played the original and 2 a ton back in the day. Sunk more hours than I can count on Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2.

Currently nearly 700 hours in on Elden Ring (I suck and wander around a lot, plus killing sheep takes time).

I actually had my exes son message me last week about how great the game was and how he can't wait for me to try it. First time in a couple years we had any contact. Kinda cool.
Dang 700? No matter how good a game is I start to burn out at 60 hours. Plus way too many good games for me to stick to one for that long. Hey at least you’re saving a ton of money that way

Same. I started another game the day before this came out so it will be another month or two before I play this.

My first ER playthrough was 380h. 60 for a journey of that breadth feels criminal, bud.

I'm usually the same, but Elden Ring has so many places to explore and it gave me time to "get gud" (I still suck). I'm also just playing offline, so no help there.

Plus, I've killed a lot of sheep.

My most recent early game discovery, slight spoiler but no details.

The swamp south of the goblin camp contains an entire thing involving a nasty surprise.
I checked online, and I haven't quite reached the further West side of the map yet.

Haseid, Barton, Ceffrey, Andorn and Mari

Do you know if these characters are important? It's like a cleric, a bunch of rangers enemies inside the dungeon/ruin earlier in the game. They were way too hard for me at the start, now I went back and I'm trying to kill them at level 3, but with them having individual names I'm wondering if they're supposed to trigger cut scenes or something. Once I opened the door with a lever they immediately started attacking.

Read spoiler, I don't want anyone mad.

Is that the first little dungeon in the game? If so, the easier way to do it is go back outside and look up above where the first guys you encountered were, should have talked to a gnome and his henchman. Shoot the rope dropping the block then jump down in the hole and funnel those assholes through the door. There is also a explosive barrel in the hallway if you can get a shot or spell off on it, maybe throw a grease bomb in the hallway then ignite it. That fight can be a pain in the ass but that is the method I used.

Elden Ring is so F'ing good. The DLC is probably going to be crazy.

You need them ball bearings man, of course, the ball bearing hunters seem to think otherwise.

I don’t know of many hobbies with better ROI than gaming. Such a great pastime and passion, IMO. BG3, ER, Skyrim… 1000s of hours of adventure.

I've got the one that gives thin bones, but fuck me they are too expensive. I'd rather kill sheep.

I think it's the first or second, or maybe one large dungeon with two area's? I'm kind of confused because in one there were skeletons and I got Withers, the respec ghoul. And the one you're talking about is the second (for me). I found a video on youtube, I didn't even realize you could shoot that block and that it would create an opening. I ended up just beating them, kind of cheesing with the main entrance. I also found that those names are just names of enemies, not important npc's, as I initially assumed.

Edit :
Area at around 5 minute mark was what I was talking about

Well, I saw someone set up barrels and destroy the entire goblin army with one attack (including the 3 leaders). It was a gif and for some reason I didnt save it. Shit was mighty impressive. Must have taken them days to set it up.

My Internet sucks so I started the download before I left for work. Hopefully it's done or close to it by the time I get home lmao.

Yea, I've found that there is a lot that is missable unless you are a very thorough player. I played 25 hours in early access to just get the feel of chapter 1 and thought I found everything, but now in full release I'm finding multiple areas and secrets I didn't even know was there.
