Baki

I tried to like it before, but I couldn't get into it. Tried it again with the netflix version and I went as far episode 5 or 6 and still couldn't finish it.

I as well.
Barely squeezed out episode 1.
U find any decent anime on there u could recommend?

I was watching that Jap Batman, then it just got too stupid. Halfway through.
Asia Netflix kinda blows.

I never care much for volleyball but Haikyuu has one of the most dynamic animation style that I've seen. The story ain't that bad as well. There's Re:Zero and Death Note for some thrillers. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is in my top 3.

First season was entertaining but the second season I think I'm done. This show looks like it was written by 13 year old boys. It just got so absurd and ridiculous.

I hadn't watched the previous series so I came in expecting something more grounded in reality.

Once I realized it was going to be completely over the top and insane it grew on me.

But I would still like to see a quasi-realistic MMA anime at some point.

Its a cartoon on Netflix called Baki

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

It's brutal. I'm on episode 3.

It's about convicts from different countries who escape in the most violent way possible to go to Japan to fight the strongest man in the world.

One guy literally blew someone's brains out by blowing in his ear

I fucking love that show! It's over the top as all fook, but it works well. Though sometimes it can get a little too corny for me, but it doesn't bother me much. Next season is gonna be fucking crazy lol! Spoiler about the ending of the current season:
Shame that Baki is sick going into next season's tournament. You get blue balled about what he is actually capable off in a serious fight during the whole show and now you finally get to see him take on the best of the best and he isn't at his physical best. That kinda sucks. But I hope he heals up somehow and we still get to see him fight at his best against truly elite competition.

Back tracked and gave it a shot again. Apparently I stopped at episode 17. Idk why I said ep 6. Anyway I gave it a shot- again - for the third time - and I find it more hilarious and ridiculous as it gets closer to the end. I remember a Dickson Gracie in the og series so I was pleasantly surprised to find Wanderlei (Dave) in it.

He even does the knuckle roll. My son recognized him.

And a retired boxing legend with Parkinson's named Muhammad drooling. Because Japan.

I loved it that they didn't exaggerate Ali's abilities too much. Though I suspect they exaggerated his house a bit. LMAO!

Awesome show, and yea it’s ridiculous and over the top which is what makes it so cool

Always wondered who would win in a fight, speck or Dorian?

And is Oliva the strongest there is aside from Baki and his dad?

Characters look like they are drawn by Japanese Rob Liefeld.
Main character gets a power up by losing his virginity.
Completely ridiculous shit everywhere. Two thumbs up.

I've just started FMA again. Watched the first 10 or so eps about 10 years ago, but went on holiday and forgot to get back into it.

What's the premise of RE:Zero?

Edge of Tomorrow in a fantasy setting with a whodunnit plot for every episode. Expect the mc to die mutiple times a day as he tries to figure out who's been killing him.

Sounds good. I'll add it to my list.

Watched it a few weeks ago. Thought it was pretty fun. Wish netflix had the original baki show though. I've only ever seen a couple episodes of it.

I’m gonna watch these from the start. I only learnt of this from this thread, watched heaps this week.

I can’t remember if I asked you bout this.

It’s good fun I’m really digging it. I figured you’d have known bout it.
