Out of interest, anyone know anything about The Blasters? Song is more famous from the Dusk Til Dawn OST, but Vicer used it first
I know nothing about them but I'm gonna go hunting, anyone got any tips?
That's great thanks, I've loved that song since I first heard it, reminded me of Cali beach funk and I've been meaning to find out more for yearsYeah, The Blasters were from southern California & part of the indie rockabilly / punk scene along with X and Los Lobos, with whom they frequently played. They expanded into country, blues and r & b while maintaining a rough rock & roll sound. Dave Alvin wrote some great songs including Border Radio, American Music, Long White Cadillac & Boomtown. All are included on the compilation The Blasters Collection, or if you'd like start with American Music & go from there. Enjoy!

Don't leave us hanging, had time been kind to her?13 songs playing in the background while you got lucky in your youth
1. Journey- Faithfully
2. Metallica - Creeping Death
(I promise I’m not trolling. I was 16 and we had “Ride The Lightning” on in the background). Ran into her at an L7 show last year (20 years later). Thanks for reading.

3. USA For Africa - We Are The World (Hey baby, remember that song when I fucked you in the pet cemetery?)
4. No song, just eerie silence - that's how we do it in the North. A couple of valkyries standing by, in case one or both of us perish in the process and need taken to Odin's hall.
Yeah, i voted for your shoop, brother.

Are you Scandinavian too?
Very interesting. I had a thing for trad. Irish music for a number of years (we have a yearly Irish festival here in Copenhagen with lots of great Irish music) but don't know much about trad. Scandinavian music at all - guessing you refer to 'folkemusik' or spillemandsviser...Half Swedish. I play traditional Nordic fiddle, mostly Swedish and a lot of Danish, Norwegian, and Finnish. Also specialize in Celtic fiddle, mostly Irish.
