13 songs with great live editions:

1. Fleetwood Mac - Silver Springs (1997)
2. Tom Waits - Shore Leave (Big Time version, 1988)

The original recorded version is fantastic too, but this is the best version of Shore Leave imo. When Tom begins to sing the chorus every hair on the back of my neck stands up.

This was the last song from the last tour from the last encore the band ever played. They had announced at the beginning of the tour that they would be breaking up at its conclusion. I'm probably reading into it but I get the sense the guitar player, Abe Futoshi, wasn't ready for it to end. He died just 6 years later from an acute hematoma due to a head injury.

Also, that bass line.

The Rolling Stones - Start Me Up

Ya hit a really Cool Dinosaur-Aged Memory my way.

Great opening song that Started their "Steel Wheels" Tour at a packed ( IIRC 75,000 ) NC Carter Finley Stadium.

LONG liines to the Men's rest rooms, Ladies line was MUCH longer. Some of the wimmenz used the men's room, there was no drama at all with that. When "Some Girls" was released in the 1980's, for many it was a much simpler time.

Stones have So Many awesome albums with Mick Jagger belting out the songs, Some Girls is Tmeless Rock and Roll.

Shattered - Beast of Burden - Wip Comes Down - Just My Imagination etc.

Girl With The Far Away Eyes - 4 Stares Stars...Mick Absolutely Nails The Blues !

Then comes Shattered, strutting showman Mick Gettin' Down !

Back to football - Aaron Rogers just hit TD pass 509. You Go Aaron ! Panthers are Ahead 10 to 0, that ain't no misprint. Seriously...the Panthers are actually up by 10 !
